OP05 Yellow (Charlotte Linlin) Deck Profile

This was pretty hard to think about as I've tried using the Charlotte family, but I didn't like it. However, I will post two deck builds with this starter deck Big Mom, because I've came up with another build which I quite like. It focus more on Sky Island type of build, so I gave it a bit more aggression, using Enel Rush with Ohm and Holly combo thanks to the power of OP05. The other build will utilise more on the Life gain since we lose a bit of Life thanks to Big Mom effect. In the end there's no right or wrong build, we just need to find ways to utilise the best for the Leader effect.

Life Gain

The power of Life gain, one of our builds can benefit more from this than the other since Life gaining means we could hit more Trigger cards, or just add them to your hand using Big Mom's Leader effect. 10 Drop Big Mom is very important for this build since we are running Big Mom Pirates Leader. I know she cost 10, so you won't have the chance to activate Big Mom Leader's effect. The on play effect is if your Leader is Big Mom Pirates, add 1 card from top of your deck to the top of your Life, then trash the top card of your opponent's Life. Give and take is what I call this effect, you gain something, at the same time your opponents will lose something.

OP04 Yamato isn't as good as 10 drop Big Mom, but her effect can also come in handy if you are at low life. We do want to gain plenty of Life in one of the build to stall your opponents to play big Characters. The on play effect is KO 1 of your opponent's Characters with cost equal to or less than total Life on the field. Then if you have 1 or less Life, add 1 card from top of your deck to top of your Life. This is simply just a KO effect, the more Life your opponents have, the better for the targets. Remember, you will be losing a Life since that is Big Mom's Leader effect, so you will need to rely on your opponents.

Now ST07 Big Mom is not effective if your opponents is at 0 Life, so if you can play her early, the effect puts you more of an advantage than disadvantage. The on play effect is simple, your opponent chooses either, they trash 1 card from top of their Life, or you gain a Life by adding a card from top of your deck to top of your Life. I couldn't find any information about ST07 Big Mom about your opponent's Life, so I assume, that your opponents can still choose trashing their Life even if they are at 0 Life.

Amaru Life gain effect is the Trigger effect, but the main effect is 1 of your Leader/Characters gain 3k power during this turn, then if you have 1 or less Life, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. This shouldn't be too difficult to do as we will be trashing our Life until we are down to 2 using Big Mom's Leader effect. The Trigger effect is, you trash 2 card from your hand to add 1 card from top of your deck to top of your Life. This is up to you when to decide to activate this effect, as some of your other Trigger effects also requires trashing cards in hand to play them.

Removals

Both builds will have access to removals, just depends on which deck got the most removals, but then again both decks have very different style, so I can't really say they are both equal. OP03 Katakuri only has on play effect which lets you add 1 8 cost or less Character to top or bottom of the owner's Life face up. Now in future, there will be some cards who can make use of the face up Life, but for now we will stick what we got. You could remove your opponent's Character, or you can choose your own Character, then use Big Mom's Leader effect to add that Character to your hand, swapping them with a Trigger effect card. This is up to you to decide which one you prefer.

Gedatsu is an okay removal which is why I am not maximizing the number of copies in the build. You do want to see him early, but he will be mainly useless during the late stage of the game. The effect is on play, KO 1 of your opponent's Character with cost equal to or less than number of your opponent's Life. Now he will be very good if you don't attack your opponent's Life. But since the Sky Island build doesn't have ways to stall, we will need to play Gedatsu very early, to have that 5 cost 6k beat stick in play.

Thunder Bolt is amazing with Big Mom's Leader. We do not have to use Thunder Bolt main effect unless you need to go down to 3 Life to start swapping cards from your hand with the Life. The main effect is trash 1 card from the top of your Life to KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Character. This effect is what I don't care about as I'm mainly running Thunder Bolt for the Trigger effect which is KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Character. This is basically the main effect but without the need to trash out Life. We can easily put Thunder Bolt in the Life area and wait for your opponents to attack your Life to trigger Thunder Bolt's trigger effect and KO one of their 5 cost or less Characters.

Blockers

Another way to play this deck is using Blockers so your opponents cannot hit your Life, so you will be able to swap your hand and the Life around with ease. Shirley also have an on play effect which lets you look at the top of your or your opponent's Life, place it at bottom or top of the Life. To be honest, I don't really want to draw into any important Trigger cards that could stop my opponent's attack which is why Shirley is very good for searching.

Gallete is just a 2 drop Blocker, you might need to play her because you will need at least 2 DONs for Big Mom's Leader effect. This is pretty much the role of Gallete, being able to stall so you could wait until you can get your main Characters to the field. You don't want to take too much Life in a Big Mom deck if you want to constantly swapping your Life around to get better Trigger activation.

Now we move onto OP04 Sanji, just a 4 drop Blocker with a Trigger effect which is trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. Well if you need Blockers to stop your opponent's attack, he will definitely come in handy, especially when we have ways to make use of Trigger cards in the Life, and not relying on luck to do so.

Brulee is similar to Sanji, except with the Trigger effect, you do not need to trash a card in your hand to play her. She comes in play for free, but she is only a 1k Blocker unlike Sanji's 5k Blocker. But again if you can get Brulee in your Life, she will be worth it to play her for free. Although you could always hard play for 3 DONs if you do not have enough DONs to play other Characters because of Big Mom.

Triggers

There's not much Trigger Characters in this section simply because the others are in the other groups. OP03 Shirahoshi is a card that I wouldn't want to hard play unless I desperately need the draw power. This is because she is a 5 drop with 0 power which is I'm not a big fan of. But luckily Big Mom Leader made it very easy to put Shirahoshi into the Life to trigger her Trigger effect. Anyway the on play effect is draw 3 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. A very simple hand filter, but very effective to get the cards you need. The Trigger effect is just play this card, so allowing us to play her for free and trigger the on play effect, so we don't need to hard play her for 5 DONs.

When most deck sees Bege in your hand, he will just be a plain 2k counter to use for the defending stage. However, for Big Mom Leader, we can actually use Bege's Trigger effect by putting him to the Life area, but that is only if the Trigger effect would be handy at that stage. The Trigger effect is 1 of your opponent's Leader/Characters cannot attack during this turn. Depending on the situation of the field, you could use his Trigger effect or add Bege to your hand for later use, this is what I like about Big Mom Leader.

Sky Island Support

Personally Sky Island stuff is the only thing new in OP05, otherwise I would have kept it to Big Mom Pirates focus. However thanks to these cards, we could change the style a bit. For me Sky Island stuff are more aggressive compare to Big Mom Pirates, you could disagree with me, but the way they work is more toward aggro component. Anyway lets move onto Enel. He is a 7k Rush Character, so you can play him and attack your opponents right away as well as being able to trigger Big Mom Leader's effect. Aside from Rush we do have an additional effect, if this Character would leave the field, you may trash the top card of your Life instead. If there is a Luffy Character, negate this effect. This effect mainly works better with Enel Leader and not Big Mom, unless you have been protecting Big Mom Life all this time so you could use Enel effect.

Satori a plain vanilla 5 drop, but we do have a Trigger effect which is basically same as OP04 Sanji. You trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. He will give you more attacks if you play him on the field, otherwise you could use his 2k Counter power for defending against your opponent's attacks. Just like Bege, we will have the option to put him in the Life if we need to, but Satori is a vanilla when is out in the field, so he doesn't really put any advantages aside from one additional attack.

Shura is just a searcher for Sky Island. I might as well use him in the deck with plenty of Sky Island cards around. The on play effect is look at the top 5 cards of your deck to reveal 1 Sky Island card other than Shura, add it to your hand, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. We also have a Trigger effect which play this card for free. I think having the Trigger is very useful as it will make a free +1 in your hand, unless you do not hit a single Sky Island card which will be a bit difficult but not impossible.

Ohm and Holly are basically together, you will need Holly in your hand to make Ohm plays Holly for free even though he is a Holly searcher. There is a continuous effect where if you 2 or less Life, this Character gains 1k power. Very easy to do in Big Mom build where we lose our Life until we got 2 left. The on play effect is look at top 5 card of your deck to reveal 1 Holly, add it to your hand, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order and play 1 Holly from your hand. This is why it is important to have Holly in our hand, in case you missed the search effect, so you could play a 3 cost card that is also a 5k beat stick which put a nice threat against your opponents.

Big Mom Pirates Support

All I can say is that some of these Characters also have Trigger effects which might come in handy, who knows. I think Cracker is very good (kinda). He's actually disappointing during the late game, but during the early game he is good (just like Gedatsu). You do need to give 1 DON to Cracker so he can activate his effect which is, if you have less Life than your opponents, this card gains Double Attack and 1k power. Double Attack is basically taking 2 damage and doesn't mean attacking twice like DBSCG. So in total we will have a 7k beat stick, and this effect can easily triggered early thanks to Big Mom Leader. The Trigger effect is just trash 1 card in your hand to play this card. During the late stage of the game, he is pretty useless unless your opponents can also do Life game, so I'm not sure if you want to use his Trigger effect. Although he is a 5k beat stick to have on the field.

OP03 Pudding is just a searcher for Big Mom Pirates and Sanji. The effect is very simple, on play, look at top 4 cards of your deck to reveal 1 Sanji or Big Mom Pirates card except Pudding, add it to your hand, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The only difference with Pudding we also get to search out our 4 cost Blocker Sanji as an additional card than just Big Mom Pirates.

Perospero is a nice card to have on the field giving your opponents decision making. If they KO this Character, you gain a card, if they don't they will constantly be facing a beat stick in play. Judging by this text, you can say Perospero only works on KO. On KO, look at top 3 cards of your deck to reveal 1 Big Mom Pirates card, add it to your hand, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Now unlike Pudding, we can search for any Big Mom Pirates card even himself, but 3 cards is a low number. Although this shouldn't be too difficult in a Big Mom Pirates deck where we literally running a lot of them.

Finally the last Pudding card. ST07 Pudding is to use her looking at your Life ability so you will know what cards your will have in your Life, and if you need to take the bottom card instead of top card. The effect is on play, look at top of your or your opponent's Life, place it at the bottom or top of your deck. We can check our opponents too but mainly you want to check yours first before your opponents. On top of this effect, Pudding also have 2k Counter which will be very handy for defending.

Explanation

Both builds are pretty much taken from Enel decks that I have made and basically modified them to suit Big Mom better since Big Mom allows you to trigger the Trigger cards by placing them from your hand to Life. So you could constantly trigger the Trigger's effect and will not rely on luck to do so, and also the cards will not be dead in your hand.

Sky Island build, I focus more on the aggro side, we do have a few Life gain card, but my main focus in beating your opponents as fast as possible, as you would run out of Life easily using Big Mom Leader's effect. You can replace Enel if you don't want the rush for OP04 Yamato or ST07 Big Mom instead for the Life gain effect. This is up to you to decide as the rest of the Sky Island cards I would still keep, but Enel will be optional to add or take out of the deck.

Big Mom Pirates build focus more on defence rather than focusing more on the aggro side. This is mainly so we can stall to bring out our big drop Characters, and most of these Big drop Characters will have Life gain effects, so you will be constantly use Big Mom Leader's effect. There is a few cards like Cracker and Perospero who could hit magic numbers against your opponents, but I'm mainly using their Trigger effect to play them, unless I've got nothing to play with the DONs I have left.
