OP07 Black/Yellow (Luffy) Deck Profile

I didn't post an EB01 version of this build because it was 1 card changed, so I've waited until OP07 to post this build. I've changed the build dramatically compare to the OP06 version I think. The new 5 drop Luffy increases the consistency when we use kid Luffy's effect to power up the Leader. The deck is very straightforward as we are mostly using the starter deck as the base of the deck.

The Three Brothers

The key part to this build is making use of the three brothers, and 2 of them are 5 drop Luffy. OP04 Sabo is a Blocker with an on play effect which is none of your Characters can be KO'd by effects until the start of your next turn. Then, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. Sabo is really strong as we can protect our Characters as well as having the hand filter effect to filter the hand, on top of being a 5 drop Character.

OP07 Luffy is the latest addition to the deck, and the effect works really well with this Leader and not only Vegapunk. The effect is an activate main effect, you may trash this Character, if you have 2 or less Life, KO 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. Then, draw 1 card. This is a nice removal effect after you've attacked with this card. The trigger effect is similar to the main effect, KO 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters, just no Life requirement or draw power from this effect.

ST13 Ace only has 1 effect which works on play, if you have 2 or less Life, this Character gains Rush. Now Ace is the only 5 cost Character out of the three brothers who doesn't have a Counter. But luckily Luffy Leader let us add 5 drop from our hand as well as from the trash. Although the Rush ability if definitely handy if we are going for the push for game.

ST13 Luffy is a card we would prefer to have as the effect works amazing with the Leader. The effect is an activate main effect, once per turn, this Character gains 2k power until the start of your next turn. Then, if you have 1 or more Life, draw 1 card and trash the top card of your Life. So not only we have a 8k beat stick on the field, but we also have the extra draw power to increase the hand size. You will always get 1 or more Life thanks to Luffy Leader replenishing your Life area, so we can constantly use this effect over and over again.

Free Play

What's great about this build, is the ability to play cards for free, especially when we have Moria, playing the kids for free, then using those kids effects to play their adult form whilst powering up the Leader for both attack and defence. OP06 Moria works on play, choose one 4 cost or less Character and one 2 cost or less Character. Play one as active and the other as rest. If we are playing the kids using Moria's effect, it wouldn't matter if they are active or not as their effects will be trashing themselves.

Kid Sabo, Ace and Luffy all have similar effects, so I will just shorten this all in this paragraph. All their effects is an activate main effect, you may trash this Character, reveal the top card of your Life, if that card is a 5 cost Sabo (kid Ace will be 5 cost Ace and kid Luffy will be 5 cost Luffy), you may play that card. If you do, 1 of your Leader gains 2k power until the end of your opponent's next turn. What's more is that these power bonus stack, so if you use these at the same time, your Leader will gain massive power. We can also place the adult forms using the Leader's effect, so it won't be random luck.

Life Area

Most of these cards let you add cards from your Life to your hand with the exception of ST13 Ivankov, as he trash your Life instead. The sooner we reduce down to 0, the sooner we can use Luffy Leader's effect to add 5 cost Character and play them for free using the kid forms. EB01 Flampe works on play, you may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life to your hand to draw 1 card. Basically with Flampe we will be drawing 2 cards with this effect, and even if you are not playing her, she has a 2k counter which will be very useful for defence.

OP06 Hiyori can act as a nice back up as she will be able to put our 5 cost cards to the Life area so we don't have to rely on Luffy's Leader effect to work. The effect works on play, you may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life to your hand, add 1 card from your hand to top of your Life. As long as we got one of the kids on the field, we can comfortably use Hiyori's effect to place their adult form on top, then use the kid effect to play that Character whilst powering up your Leader for a turn.

ST13 Ivankov is a Blocker which is great for defending but he is another card that is similar to Hiyori. The effect works on play, you may trash the top or bottom of your Life card, reveal one 5 cost Character from your hand and add it to the top of your Life face down. The only downside we will be trashing the Life area, but in return, we will have another way to put the adult forms on top of the Life so we can use the kids effects.

ST13 Makino can be very handy especially when we are running Ivankov and Hiyori in the build. The effect works on play, add 1 card from the top or bottom of your Life, look at your Life area and place them back in any order. This effect can check if you have any adult forms we could use for the kids effect, but if you got none, then we can comfortably use Hiyori or Ivankov's effects to place those adults on the top of your Life.

Searchers

Finally we have 2 searchers in this build so we can search for the key cards, and both of these cards have similar effects so we can increase the chances of getting the right cards in hand. ST13 Garp works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to one 5 cost or less Sabo, Ace or Luffy and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. This is the best turn 1 play if we have Garp in hand.

Even if we don't have Garp, I am also running Three Brothers' Bond who have the exact same effect as Garp's on play effect. Look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to one 5 cost or less Sabo, Ace or Luffy and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The only difference is that we also have a trigger effect which is just activate this card's main effect, so we could increase the chances of getting the right cards.

Deck List

OP07 Luffy

Explanation

A very straightforward build if you have bought the ST13 deck along with extra copies of certain cards. What we need to focus in this build is getting the 5 cost in your Life area which is why I am running cards like Hiyori and Ivankov who could add those 5 costs to the Life area, so we could trigger the three kids abilities whilst powering up the Leader, making it harder to hit for your opponents. We also have 2 searchers with the same effect to increase the chances of getting the right cards in hand.

Even if you don't have Hiyori or Ivankov to add your 5 costs to the Life area, we could focus on going to 0 Life to trigger Luffy's effect to add 5 costs from the trash or hand. It is very easy to do, although I am not too sure if you want to go 0 Life early, especially if you don't have the right cards to set up the Leader with. But we do need 2 or less Life in order to trigger some of the cards in this build.
