[One Piece Card Information Bureau] EB01 Kid and Killer, Gum Gum Champion Rifle & T Bone Card Reviews

 

There are few new cards revealed in this video for EB01 set. I'm looking forward to trying EB01 for these decks. The set releases on 27th Jan for the JP format. It will take a while for the set to release in English. Although for the decks I currently own, I don't think I will need any of the cards, but we will find out later. Here are the card effects below for these cards.

Kid and Killer

(EB01-003)

Power 5000 (Slash/Special) 

Supernova/Kid Pirates

[Rush]

[When Attacking] If your opponent has 2 or less life cards, this character gains +2000 Power until the end of the turn

Gum Gum Champion Rifle

(EB01-028) 

Straw Hat Crew/Impel Down

[Counter] If your Leader has the [Impel Down] type, give up to 1 of your leader or characters +2000 Power until the end of this battle. Then, your opponent returns 1 of their active characters to the owner's hand.

[Trigger] Return up to one cost 3 or lower character to the bottom of it's owner's deck 

T Bone

[On Play] KO up to 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or lower characters. 

Kid and Killer will be great in R/P Law deck, I think they mentioned this in the video. R/P Law lets you play 4 drop Characters by returning 3 DONs I think. Not to mention we have a nice Event searcher from the OP05 who can search for Kid and Killer thanks to being Kid Pirates. But I think they also works in a R/G Luffy build since Luffy works with Supernova, and having that Rush will allow us to go for the aggression very early on. Champion Rifle only works with Ivankov Leader, since Ivankov is the only Blue Impel Down Leader so far in this game. There might be more in future, but I don't know when. I think this is a very strong Event card especially when your opponents trying to go for the attacks. You can basically return any Characters back to your opponent's hand, as long as they are active. So I guess, we can use this very early for the attacks. The Trigger effect is okay, basically it is just Three Thousand World. I guess T Bone will be replacing Vergo for OP06 Blue/Black Sakazuki deck. He is a 2k Counter as well as having on play effect which allow us to KO Characters. 2 cost or lower should be very easy to trigger especially in a Black deck where we can reduce our opponent's Character costs with ease.  My final verdict is that I can see all three of these cards being used in the deck and not something useless for a new card. You see some of these in other card games where they make new support for that deck, but those cards doesn't do much to improve them. I'll be looking forward in trying out these cards on the Sim.
