OP05 Blue/Black (Sakazuki) Deck Profile

Out of all the decks I've seen, I think Sakazuki is the most expensive to build. Well Black does have some expensive cards compare to other colours available in the card game. But in return, you will have no problem reducing your opponent's Character costs, and we have some cards in Blue that lets you bounce your opponent's Characters back to the deck or hand to clear their board. There are plenty of reducing Cost in this build, so you will have plenty of ways to remove your opponent's big cost Character.

Reducing Character Costs

I don't think we would have problems with reducing your opponent's Character costs as we got these cards who does the same thing along with Sakazuki's Leader skill. However, 3 of these cards are from the starter deck, so if you didn't get the Navy starter deck, then you might have to take time to build this deck since the singles are pricey. Anyway OP02 Tsuru only has an on play effect which is reduce 1 of your opponent's Character cost by 2 for this turn. She is only 1 cost to play, but a 2k Counter to use.

ST06 Tashigi is really similar to OP02 Tsuru as both cards have 2k Counters on them, but instead of being On Play effect, you can use Tashigi constantly as long as she is on the field.  The effect is by resting this Character, reduce 1 of your opponent's Character cost by 2 for this turn.

ST06 Hina only has an on play effect, but unlike ST06 Tashigi, who's also a 3 Cost card, you get to reduce 1 of your opponent's Character cost by 4 for this turn. What I like about Hina is that she is a 5k beat stick compare to Tashigi being a 4k, so we can mostly attacks 5k Leaders/Characters depending on what your opponents have on the field. Whereas Tashigi, we need to give her 1 DON in order to hit that magic number.

Ice Age is a card that mainly used on big cost Characters which is why I don't want to run a lot of copies of Ice Age, since big cost Characters are usually played during mid to late game, unless your opponents can ramp to play those cards earlier. The effect is simple, reduce 1 of your opponent's Character cost by 5 for this turn. The Trigger effect is just KO one of your opponent's Characters with 3 Cost or less.

Great Eruption is mainly our key card, because of the effect. Draw 1 card. Then, reduce 1 of your opponent's Characters by 2 cost during this turn. The draw power can let us filter our hand in order to get the right cards to use, but at the same time, we are also reducing our opponent's Character costs to set up some card's effects. The Trigger effect is basically a discarding effect where your opponent trashes 1 card from their hand. But it is up to you to use the Trigger effect, or wanting this in your hand to get the filtering going.

The Removals

With the help of reducing Character's costs cards, we also want plenty of removal so your opponents won't be able to build a stable board on the field ready to attack your Leader/Characters. OP05 Borsalino only works on play where you can put 1 Character with 4 cost or less to the bottom of the deck. You are not restricted to your opponent's field, but I don't know why you would want to put your own Characters to the bottom of your deck, unless you are decking out which can be a bit difficult in Sakazuki builds. Otherwise you would have a 8k beat stick on the field.

OP05 Rob Lucci is mainly our key card as he can KO up to two Characters instead of one, clearing your opponent's board. However the effect only works on play, you may return 3 cards from your trash to the bottom of the deck in any order, to KO up to 1 of your opponent's Characters with 2 cost or less, and up to 1 of your opponent's Characters with 1 cost or less. This shouldn't be too hard to do with the amount of cost reduction you can do with this build.

Hound Blaze is a nice Event card to have, mostly work perfectly with Sakazuki currently. The effect is up to 1 of your Leader/Character gains 3k power during this turn, then, place up to 1 Character with 2 cost or less at the bottom of the owner's deck. Not only we get a power boost for our Leader/Characters, but we also can clear up the board a little. I really doubt you want to use Hound Blaze on your own cards.

Blockers

Now we will be talking about the defences of the deck which are Blockers. We are running plenty of Blockers in the build, so you won't need to worry about using Counters to protect your Leader/Characters. OP02 Borsalino has an effect on your opponent's turn. This Character gains 1k power and can't be KO by effects. This make him a very strong Blocker, especially considering the pricing of the card for this effect.

OP04 Sabo is another 6k Blocker along with your OP02 Borsalino, and have a similar effect, but the effect works on play. On play, none of your Characters can be KO by effects until start of your next turn, then draw 2 and trash 2 cards from your hand. Sabo pretty much protects your field for one turn, however if you play against Blue which focus on returning Characters, he is not very good except the hand filter.

OP05 Rebecca is one of the main card of the deck simple because she can bring back Characters from the trash as well as playing Characters from our hand for free. The on play effect works by adding up to 1 black Character with a cost of 3-7 other than Rebecca from your trash to your hand. Then play up to 1 black Character with a cost of 3 or less from your hand rested. There are plenty of combos you can do with Rebecca, but I mainly choose Hina for the on play effect.

Draw Power

Being able to filter out your deck to find your key cards will be very important. This is where these draw power come from. OP05 Kaido is a secret rare and does requires you to find the right timing. The effect works on play, draw 4 cards if your opponent has 3 or less Life. Most meta decks are multicoloured Leaders with 4 Life as the start. The only exception is Enel, but Enel trashes their Life, so reaching 3 or less is not too difficult to do.

4 Drop Kuzan have two effects, the first effect is just on play, draw 1 card. The second effect works when attacking, reduce 1 of your opponent's Characters cost by 4. He is another cost reducer, so you will not have any problems not being able to reduce your opponent's Character costs. All you need to find are your removal cards in order to start removing your opponent's Characters.

Deck List

OP05 U/B Sakazuki

Explanation

In this build, I'm mainly focusing on draw power to draw into Rob Lucci so we could start spamming Rob Lucci effects. But that is only if your opponents manages to KO Lucci, so we could use Mansherry or Rebecca to bring back Lucci to the hand. Then again if you didn't see Lucci, you also have OP05 Borsalino and Hound Blaze who can also remove your opponent's Characters.

Mansherry lets you recycle the trash especially with all the discarding from Sakazuki's Leader. I mainly used Mansherry to bring back Rebecca, the use Rebecca to bring back another card, whilst being able to play a card for free. Then if Mansherry is able to stay on the field on my next turn, I would just recycle again and again which is a lot of benefit. But if you don't have Rebecca in the trash, then your next in line is Rob Lucci as Rob Lucci plays a major role in this build to clear your opponent's board.
