OP05 Yellow (Charlotte Katakuri) Deck Profile

Whilst Enel lets you survived, Katakuri lets you always check for Triggers on both field, so you would want to hit your Triggers card compare to your opponents. This is what I like about this deck, seeing what I've got in my Life, but if the Life doesn't look good, I will also have some cards which let me heal the Life to increase the chances of hitting Trigger cards. OP06 will still have cards be very useful for this deck just like Enel, so I can't wait for that to come.

The Life Gains

The cards that will provide the healing, gaining a Life so we can last longer in the game. OP03 Big Mom (Linlin) only works on play. If your Lead is Big Mom Pirates, add 1 card to top of your Life, then trash the top card from your opponent's Life. This definitely hurts your opponents a lot, not only they lose a Life, but you gain a Life. The only good thing for your opponents is that you will used up all your DONs, so you wouldn't be able to use Katakuri's Leader effect for that turn. But only the downside, they will need to face against a 12k beat stick.

ST07 Big Mom gives you a choice, your opponents chooses one of her effects. On play, your opponent's either trash 1 card from their Life or you gain a Life. Of course, when your opponents is at 0 Life, they could always choose trashing Life, making Big Mom wasting that effect, unless the rulings says otherwise. But she is a 7 drop 8k beat stick on the field, so it is not all lost even if you think the effect is pointless at certain stages of the game.

Amaru is just an Event card we can used. The main effect is 1 of your Leader/Character gains 3k power during this turn. Then, if you have 1 or less Life, rest up to 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or lower Characters. This is better than giving 2 DONs to 1 of your Leader/Characters, since they will only gain 2k power, whereas Amaru gives them 3k power instead for 2 DONs. The Trigger effect is optional, you can use it if you want or not, depending on how much cards you have in your hand. The effect is you may trash 2 cards from your hand to add 1 card from top of your deck to top of your Life. If you have plenty of cards in hand, then it is worth that extra Life.

The Removals

Removals are great addition to have in the build. I guess I'm writing the obvious here since it should be one of the things we should have for the deck when deck building, unless you are playing Green where they focus more on resting Characters to attack into them. OP03 Katakuri is a card I'm not a big fan of, but he is a removal, but not the type of removal I am hoping for. The on play effect is add 1 Character with 8 cost or less to the top or bottom of the owner's Life area, face up. This actually depends on the situation of the field. If your opponents have Blockers in play or any big drops, you do want to remove them, so your opponents don't take the advantage. Otherwise, you could choose one of your Trigger effect Characters and put them on top of your Life to trigger their Trigger effects.

Gedatsu is a card, if we see him early, we would want to play him as soon as possible so we can pull off the on play effect. The on play effect is KO 1 of your opponent's Characters equal to or less than their Life. The only advantage of Gedatsu is that you are also playing against Yellow, where they will also have Life gain cards to increase their Life. But mostly, once you see Gedatsu, and there's Characters to KO, you want to just go for it before you attack your opponent's Life.

Thunder Bolt is our main removal. The effect is you may trash 1 card from top of your Life, KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. The downside, you do lose a Life, but on the bright side, you can remove most of your opponent's Characters. I guess you could use Katakuri's Leader effect to see what cards you have on the top of your Life, before you want to trash it. The Trigger effect is the same as the main effect without trashing your Life. KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters.

Big Mom Pirates

Now we have the family together. Cracker is optional, but I like Cracker so I can go aggressive attacks against your opponents. The effect is pretty simple, by giving him 1 DON, if you have less Life than your opponents, this Character gains Double Attack and 1k power. This shouldn't be too difficult as we have ways to trash out Life, but, the effect is not consistent. But once you can activate Cracker's effect, he will become very deadly. Cracker also has a Trigger effect which is, you may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. So if your opponents managed to check Cracker, you will have a 5k beat stick on the field, of course at a cost of losing a card in your hand.

OP03 Pudding is just a searcher. On play, look at top 4 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Sanji or Big Mom Pirates card other than Pudding, add them to your hand, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The good thing about this effect is that she can also looks for Sanji. For those people who didn't read/watch One Piece because Sanji is her marriage partner, they didn't get married of course, otherwise Straw Hats will be split up. I guess Bandai included this to the card effect which is nice to have.

Perospero is a card that doesn't have any Counters and the effect only works on KO. Look at top 3 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Big Mom Pirates, add it to your hand, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. You can say he can search for any Big Mom Pirates, and plus he is a 5k beat stick which can put some pressure for your opponents. We also got a Trigger effect which is exactly the same as Cracker's Trigger effect. You may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card.

Amande is a Character which will lets you may use of the Trigger cards in your hand. The effect works once per turn, you may trash 1 Trigger card from your hand to rest 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. I guess she's useful against low drop Blockers your opponent plays. Otherwise I would keep Amande in my hand for the 2k Counter.

Triggers

Triggers are always annoying to play against, but with the amount of Trigger cards in this build, it will be very hard not to hit them, especially with the help of Katakuri's Leader to check your Life. OP03 Shirahoshi only has an on play effect which is draw 3 cards and trash 2. A nice hand filter for the deck. The Trigger effect is just play this card. I wouldn't hard play Shirahoshi unless my hand is terrible and will need the draws to get a better hand. If I have Shirahoshi in my hand, I will just use her for the 1k Counter.

OP04 Bege is definitely a card I don't want to play on the field as I will use him only for that 2k Counter. The Trigger effect is just 1 of your opponent's Leader or Character cannot attack during this turn. Now unless they change the rules about Trigger effect, this effect is optional, so depending on the situation, you would either add Bege to hand or use his Trigger effect.

OP04 Sanji is just a Blocker with a Trigger effect. Unlike the other 2 Characters above, I'm happily to play Sanji for the Blocker ability instead of waiting for the Trigger effect. The trigger effect is just the standard, you may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. If you see Sanji in your Life, it will be even better to trigger the Trigger effect and blocking one of your opponent's attacks.

Satori is in the deck for the same reason as Bege, you want to trigger his Trigger effect which is just the same as Sanji. You may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. Otherwise you want to use Satori for the 2k Counter, as it will be easier to defend against your opponent's attacks. I don't think I would hard play Satori, unless I need more Characters on the field, but when that situation come, I will just have to use what I've got in my hand.

Deck List

OP05 Y Katakuri

Explanation

You mainly want to use Katakuri Leader's effect to constantly check the top card of your Life to see if you got any Trigger cards to use. Of course, if you play the 10 drop Big Mon, you wouldn't be able to use Katakuri Leader's effect. In the opening hand you do want to see Pudding, so you can search out your other cards, but definitely not as important as some other decks.

Cracker like I mentioned is optional, but I like to be more aggressive with the deck so I can attack my opponent's Leader more, using Perospero, Cracker, Gedatsu for the low cost attacks. Then for the big drops, you will have the 2 7 drop and 10 drop Big Mom and Katakuri. 7 drop Big Mom is a card I mainly play so I can use Katakuri's Leader effect and the Event cards. You can play 10 drop Big Mom, but you will need to play her quite early for the 12k beat stick as well as being able to play other cards during the later stage of the game.
