I prefer Blue/Purple Kaido over Purple Kaido because of being able to access to the blue cards which can be very handy. But I will post the Purple Kaido later, as for now let's focus on Blue/Purple Kaido. This build can ramp pretty easy thanks to the Leader effect, and also add some pressure to your opponents. If they let their Characters die, you gain a new DON, reaching 10 DON with ease, but if they don't let their Characters die, they would use up their hand pretty early, making your attacks more easier to hit. Either way a win win situation.
The Ramp
Not much ramp cards in this build as we have two main cards, Kaido Leader and Onigashima Island to pull off the ramps. The others are mainly just the extras for the deck. Jet Gatling is needed in this build for your high cost cards, the main effect is, trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Characters gains 3k power during this battle. This is a basic effect, but what I am aiming is the Trigger effect add 1 DON and set it as active. This will depends on what you need, if you got at least 8 DON already, you wouldn't need to trigger the effect as there will be no point by then, but less than 8, I would try and use the effect.
Onigashima Island is a card we must see in our opening hand. If not, we need to use cards to draw into Onigashima, so we can get the ramp going. The effect is you may rest this Stage, if your Leader is Animal Kingdom Pirate, add 1 DON and set it as rested. The only downside is that the DON card comes in at rest, but on the upside is that you will have extra DONs on your next turn. I wouldn't worry if we see too much Onigashima in our hand as I am running plenty of cards that can trash some of them from your hand.
The Removals
Our main removal cards are the big costs cards in this deck. OP01 Kaido is a board wipe. You wouldn't really want to use this early during the stage, but you want to use this if your opponents have a full field of Characters, so you play this card to wipe their board. But you also wipe your board as well, lets just say this is just a Dark Hole version of One Piece. The effect works on play, by returning 6 DONs, if your Leader is Animal Kingdom Pirates, KO all Characters other than this card. There is actually one card who can stop OP01 Kaido, and that is OP04 Sabo, but only for 1 turn, and I know that 1 turn could make a difference between winning to losing. On the bright side we do have a 12k beat stick in play which is nice to have.
ST04 Kaido also has an on play effect, but not a board wipe effect like OP01 Kaido. The effect is, by returning 5 DONs, KO up to 1 of your opponent's 6 cost or less Characters. This card gains Rush. I think this is a pretty strong effect for a starter card, not only you can remove a Character, but also attack on the same turn. A 10k beat stick is a lot harder to guard against than a 6k/7k Rush Characters. You could potentially remove another of your opponent's Characters if they are rested.
ST04 King is a weaker version of ST04 Kaido, but you get to play King for 6 cost instead of 9 cost. The effect also works on play, by returning 1 DON, KO up to 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. No Rush, and a weaker KO ability, but you only need to return 1 DON instead of 5 DONs, I guess that's the only bright side of things. But he is another removal, and removing any 4 drops Blockers will always be handy to have.
The Draw Power
What this deck has more is the way we can filter our hand in order to get the right cards. This is what I like about this build more than the others. Kaya only has an on play effect which is draw 2 and trash 2 cards from your hand. This is just a basic effect, but she is a 2k Counter card. If you somehow ended up with all the cards you need in your hand, you can just keep Kaya for Counters.
OP05 Ulti only works if your Leader is multicoloured, on top of being Animal Kingdom Pirates, but then against, it wouldn't make sense if she doesn't have Animal Kingdom Pirates type. The effect works on play, if your Leader is multicoloured, look at top 3 cards of your deck, add 1 card to your hand, then place the rest at the bottom in any order. This effect basically let you just add any cards you want without worrying about the restrictions.
OP05 Kaido is another 12k beat stick just like OP01 Kaido. However, you will need to require timing to play this card. The effect is draw 4 cards if your opponent has 3 or less Life. This effect shouldn't be too hard to trigger considering most decks are running multicoloured Leaders who start with 4 Life, but there are mono coloured Leaders, but those decks will also take some Life to 3. This is also a 10 drop on top, so you should be able to trigger the effect once you play Kaido.
ST04 Queen is a staple, no doubt. I rarely see Purple decks who doesn't run Queen, unless the decks they have are budget decks, or just didn't buy the starter decks. Queen is expensive, but he is a staple in the deck. Not only he is a Blocker, but for the on play effect, by returning 1 DON, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. I do think this effect is much better than Kaya since he plus 1 card in your hand, whilst Kaya is just a filter.
Animal Kingdom Pirates
Most cards I've explained are from Animal Kingdom Pirates type, but here are the rest to complete the deck. OP04 Sasaki only has an on play effect which is return all cards in your hand to your deck, shuffle your deck, then draw the same cards you have returned. This is just a second mulligan, if you really need that second mulligan, then I would play him on the field, otherwise I would use him just for that 2k Counter.
OP04 Who's Who is our main searcher for Animal Kingdom Pirates, unfortunately we don't have a searcher for Purple version of Kaido. Anyway the effect works on play, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Animal Kingdom Pirates card other than Who's Who, add it to your hand, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Who's Who is one of the main card you want to see in your opening hand so you could use that 1 DON to start searching.
ST04 Ulti and Page One works together, I am running them because they are Animal Kingdom Pirates which means, Who's Who will be able to search the missing pieces. If not, you can rely on your other searchers. Ulti works on play, by returning 1 DON, you can play 1 Page One with cost 4 or less from your hand. Page One is our 6k Beat stick whilst Ulti is a 5k Beat stick. Pretty much we can set up for the aggression on our next turn. Although if you need to, you can use Ulti for the 2k Counters.
Blockers
There's actually not many Blockers in this build. I'm just running the 3 main Blockers we should have for a Purple deck which are ST04 Queen, OP05 Kid, and ST10 Law. Kid works very well in this build because of the amount of DONs we returned back to DON deck. The effect is once per turn, when a DON is returned to your DON deck, you can add 1 DON as active. So basically we can gain that extra DON to play more cards if we have enough active DON to pay the cost.
ST10 Law's on play effect is by returning 1 DON, if your opponents got 7 or more cards in their hand, trash 2 cards from their hand. This effect is mainly 50/50. You could swing with your Characters making your opponents take Life to add cards to hand, then play Law to trash their cards. Otherwise, you will need to hope you are playing against decks who gains a lot of cards in their hand. But I think only a few decks where they focus more on using their hand, rather than gaining cards advantages.

Explanation
The main card you want in your hand is Onigashima so you can play that Stage when you have 3 DONs to start ramping the DONs to play your big cost Characters. However, if you don't, don't worry you also have Kaya and Who's Who who can try and get Onigashima to your hand. Once you can get the DON going, you only need to give 1 DON to your Leader Kaido, and hope your Characters can KO your opponent's Characters to get extra DONs, possibly 2 DONs per turn.
Once you have your 10 DONs, you will mainly go for ST04 Kaido for the KO and rush or OP05 Kaido for the draw power. Don't forget about King as well who will be also helpful. I wouldn't play OP01 Kaido, unless I am in a really bad situation where a field reset would save me from losing. If my field is looking amazing, I wouldn't risk losing those Characters just for OP01 Kaido to be put into used. But of course, you could let your opponents take out Characters then play OP01 Kaido on your turn to wipe their field. Its a situational card, but you just need to find the right timing to play him, so the card would benefit you the most.
