OP06 Red/Green (Luffy) Deck Profile

The new FILM cards from OP06 gave me an idea to build this deck combining with the green FILM cards as the green FILM cards are mainly Straw Hat which will works amazing with Luffy Leader. I do quite like this deck as it got plenty of cards that are very handy especially with the new cards, plus we have spam the board with Rush creating plenty of attack opportunities.

Searchers

Starting off with the key part of the deck, searchers. Two of these searchers only search for FILM cards which is limited, but OP01 Nami can search for any Straw Hat except Nami, and most of the FILM cards are Straw Hat which will help dramatically. OP01 Nami works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Straw Hat card other than Nami and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

FILM Nami effect works on play or when attacking, by paying 1 DON, look at the top 3 cards of your deck, reveal 1 FILM card other than Nami and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck. Unlike her OP01 version, FILM Nami only specifically looks for FILM cards, but that is not a problem as the build is full of FILM cards to choose from.

OP06 Luffy is the latest addition and he is another searcher to use. The effect works on play, reveal 1 FILM card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. This is a better searcher than FILM Nami as we can search for any FILM cards including himself to trigger the search effect again. The Trigger effect is just activate this card's on play effect. This is a shame as I thought we would get to play OP06 Luffy for free, but instead we only get to trigger his search effect instead.

Free Play

Here we have 4 cards that are able to play Characters for free. All of them are very specific, but this shouldn't be too difficult to do with the way the deck is built. FILM Law is an Activate:Main effect where you need to pay 1 DON to work. By paying 1 DON, you may return this Character to the owner's hand to play one 3 cost Character from your hand. This effect is actually important as it only mentions 3 cost and not bounded by colours, and we do have some red 3 drops that would go well with Law.

FILM Brook only works on play, play one 3 cost or less FILM or Straw Hat Character from your hand. This is important as we are running a lot of Straw Hat in the build and not only FILM Characters, which means Brook will be able to target more than certain cards when you use Brook normally in a FILM build.

FILM Luffy is a Blocker that also works on play, play one 4 cost or less FILM or Straw Hat Character from your hand. Again just like Brook, we will be able to play Straw Hat Characters as well as FILM Characters, giving more option to choose from. However, with FILM Luffy, you mainly want to choose FILM Brook so Brook will be able to play another Character for free, meaning you would have 3 Characters on the field in one turn.

Finally ST12 Mihawk, obviously I am running him not only because of the 2k Counter that will come in handy but also for the on play effect. The on play effect is if you have 2 or less Characters, play one 4 cost or less Muggy Kingdom or Slash Attribute Character from your hand at rest. The only downside is that we do play that Character at rest, but you could choose Brook or Law to use their effect to spam another Character. For Law, you can bounce him back to hand for a 3 drop in active, whilst Brook can spam another Character, cheaper than going through Luffy then Brook.

Unblockable

I've decided to add the unblockable cards thanks to the power to untap Characters using Luffy Leader's effect. This will make finishing your opponents off a lot easier as they will not be able to use Blockers when your Characters attack, so you could stack a lot of DONs for that Character. ST01 Luffy has Rush as well as an additional effect. You do need to give him 2 DONs to work. When attacking, your opponent cannot activate Blockers during battle. Luffy is also a 5 drop Character which means the Leader can target this card to untap and swing for another unblockable attack forcing your opponents to use counters or take 1 of their Life if they have any left.

Diable Jambe only works with Straw Hat cards and since this deck is mainly filled up with Straw Hat stuff, this card will work amazing especially with Luffy Leader being able to untap your Straw Hat Characters and attack again. The effect is 1 of your Straw Hat Leader/Character gains your opponent cannot activate Blocker if that Leader/Character attacks this turn. The Trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Blockers. As this only targets low cost Characters, we would mainly just focus on the main effect.

Blockers

Two more Blockers, both of them are 3 drops so we can use Law's effect to play these cards for 1 instead of paying the full 3 cost. As well as both of them are FILM Characters allowing us to play them for free using FILM Luffy or Brook's effect. Shuraiya's effect works when attacking/on block, once per turn, this Character becomes the same power as your opponent's Leader until the start of your next turn. So if your opponents put DONs on their Leader, that's even better for Shuraiya to become a deadly Blocker.

ST11 Uta has an effect that works at the end of your turn, you may trash 1 Event to untap 1 of your FILM Characters. Now you can use his with Shuraiya, however, the power bonus last until the start of your next turn, so if you attack with Shuraiya, he will most likely be a 5k beat stick unless, you give him a DON and ignore the when attacking effect so we could have a powerful Blocker on your opponent's turn. Otherwise, I would mainly use this with FILM Luffy as Luffy is a 7k Blocker, so that 7k power base will be pretty strong attack.

Straw Hat Supports

Now we move on to the rest of the Straw Hat supports. OP01 Sanji works well with Luffy Leader as Sanji becomes a deadly beat stick when you use his effect. The effect is an Activate:Main effect, once per turn, you may add 1 card from  your Life to your hand, this Character gains 2k power this turn, then, give this Character up to 2 rested DON. This will mean Sanji will become a 7k beat stick in total and if you combined that with Luffy Leader, you will be able to swing twice with Sanji. The only downside is that you have to lose a Life, so drawing Sanji late game might not be ideal unless you are going for the final push to win.

OP01 Zoro only have Rush ability, however, I will not play him using ST11 Mihawk effect as Rush Zoro will come into rest. You might as well play Law or Brook then go into Rush Zoro so we can attack with Zoro straight away. Although with Law you do need to have 1 more DON available to use his effect to bounce him and play Zoro.

FILM Chopper only works when attacking, but you need to give 1 DON for the card to work. Rest up to 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. You wouldn't really target much with this effect, so I would mainly keep Chopper in hand for the 2k counter. It is really easy to search him thanks to being both Straw Hat and FILM type.

Bad Manners Kick Course is a Straw Hat Counter Event card where we can search it using OP01 Nami's effect if you need the Counter effect. The counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Characters gain 3k power this battle. We do have some non Counter cards in the build, so having this effect will come in handy. The Trigger effect is reduce 1 of your opponent's Leader/Characters by 1k this turn. This would require luck and might slow your opponents down, but lately with DONs involve, this is nothing.

Deck List

OP06 Luffy

Explanation

I've combined both Straw Hat and FILM supports together seeing how Luffy Leader works with Straw Hat Characters. I am not running OP06 Zoro even though he will be a good finisher with Diable Jambe combined, but by the time you play Zoro, I think the state of the game is pretty obvious. Beside we got Luffy Leader who needs to use 4 DONs to untap your Straw Hat Characters, so I don't think there's any time to play 9 drop Zoro anytime soon especially when we have other cards which can do better.

You do however want to spam the board with this build so we can be aggressive as possible. We are running 3 different searchers who can search for the key cards. Mihawk is just an extra addition to the deck, but the key cards are the FILM cards who will be spamming the field preparing the attacks. If you can play Rush Zoro with one of the FILM cards, that might be even better as we don't need to focus on defence if we don't need to.
