OP06 Blue/Yellow (Queen) Deck Profile

Queen is back with another update for the deck with mostly help from ST12 starter deck. But just like the previous build, this will be a defensive control deck, so you won't be doing much attacking until you get the cards in play to trigger Queen's Leader effect. Although I do not think playing defensive is good against the latest meta, but unfortunately Queen only works best if we have low hand size so we need to drag the game very long.

Blockers

Whilst I am running 5 Blockers, some of them have the exact same effect as each other so I won't be writing much for this section. Both OP01 Doffy and OP05 X Drake has the exact same on play effect which is look at the top 5 cards of your deck and place them at the top or bottom of your deck in any order. This is very important as we could put Trigger effects using Queen's Leader or play Characters using OP06 Sanji in the build.

Both ST03 Hancock and ST07 Brulee have the exact same Trigger effect which is to play this card, so you won't need to pay the full cost to play these Blockers. But you will need to rely on luck to help you trigger these effects, or use one of your checking the top cards to put these cards into your Life area using Queen's Leader effect.

Lastly we got Duval and the effect is actually the same as Doffy and Drake, but instead of looking at the top 5, you only look at top 3 of your deck. On play, look at top 3 of your deck and place them at the top or bottom of your deck in any order. For a 2 drop Blocker, I think this effect is okay as 3 is still good enough to see what to draw or place using Queen's Leader effect.

The Life

Here we have 3 Characters who target our Life area. OP04 Yamato is a key part in this deck because of being an 8 drop or above as well as the on play effect combined with Queen's Leader can be very deadly. The on play effect is KO 1 of your opponent's Characters with a cost equal to or less than the total Life on the field. Then if you have 1 or less Life, add 1 card from top of your deck to top of your Life. Firstly, we won't be doing much attacking until late game with this build, so Yamato will be able to KO high cost Characters. Secondly, if we have low hand size, we could potential gain 2 Life in 1 turn with Yamato and Queen's effect working together.

OP06 Hiyori is mainly to arrange the Trigger effects from our hand and the Life area as you know, Hancock and Brulee works the best when they are played for free from your Life area instead of hard casting those cards from your hand. Plus you might have other Trigger effects that could be really handy for early situations since Queen is mainly late game. The on play effect is you may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life to your had, add 1 card from your hand to the top of your Life area. She's also a 2k counter card which will be very handy for a low hand size builds like Queen.

Lastly the One Who Should Disappear, I honestly want to run 4 copies in the deck because the effect really suits this deck well. For the Counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Characters gain 3k power this battle. Being able to trash 1 card means we will be closer to triggering Queen's Leader effect with ease. The Trigger effect is if you have 0 Life, you may add 1 card from top of your deck to top of your Life, then trash 1 card from your hand. Another effect that can come in handy making your game last longer so you could pull a comeback.

Removals

We do have all sorts of removals in this build, ranging from KOing, putting your opponent's Characters to Life area and most importantly, returning your opponent's Characters back to their deck, so they will need to filter their decks in order to draw those Characters again. Mihawk is a 9 drop Character with an on play effect which is place 1 7 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. We can mainly target most Characters with this effect but not 8 cost or more as we have a different card who can do that.

The 8 drop Katakuri, I don't know if he's a removal, technically he does remove Characters from the field, but only to the owner's Life area, but for Queen, this will not matter as we won't be really attacking without the right set up. The effect works on play, add 1 8 cost or less to the top or bottom of the owner's Life face up. On the bright side we won't really need to worry about 8 cost Characters on the field, but on the downside is that your opponent actually doesn't lose anything. You could use this effect on your own Characters, but I would only target Characters like Hancock and Brulee who have the Trigger effect to play themselves to the field ready to block 1 of your opponent's attacks.

Red Roc is a very nice card to have in the build as the main effect is place 1 Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. This is better than playing any of your big drops as those cards cannot remove like 9-10 drop Characters that some decks play like this build. All it will cost you is 6 DONs to use Red Roc main, now you might have to sacrifice playing a Character this turn depending on how many DONs you have left after using Red Roc, but I think it will worth it. The Trigger effect is place 1 4 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. This could easily stop your opponents from rushing you this turn.

Gravity Blade is one of the new card from OP06 set and I think the effect can come in very handy. Whilst Red Roc can remove any Characters, Gravity Blade can stop your opponents from going wide. The main effect is place up to 2 6 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck in any order. I don't think it's that bad for a 7 cost card as you could potentially stop 2 attacks from attacking you during your opponent's turn. The Trigger effect is like Red Roc but a little improvement. Place 1 5 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.

Other Supports

These cards are not related to each other and I don't have a section to put these cards in unless I do individual effects. But all 3 of them have very simple effects so putting these cards individual takes up a lot of spaces with little text. Kaya works on play, you draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. You definitely need Kaya in the build with the amount of high cost cards you will draw, and they will be useless during the early stages of the game where we need to set up Blockers. Plus Kaya also have 2k counter which can come in very handy if we do not need to use her on play's effect.

OP04 Bege is technically a vanilla since he does nothing if you played Bege on the field. But we do have a Trigger effect which is 1 of your opponent's Leader/Character cannot attack this turn. We need to stall as much as possible in order to play our big drop Characters and start triggering Queen's effect. Plus he is also a 2k counter, so just like Kaya, will come in very handy even if you have Bege in your hand, and no Hiyori to put him in the Life area.

Personally, I think OP06 Sanji works perfectly in this build, not only because he is a 8 cost or higher Character, but we also have a lot of checking the top card cards, making full use of Sanji's on play effect instead of doing everything by luck. The on play effect is reveal 1 card from top of your deck, play 1 9 cost or less Character other than Sanji, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck. We could literally play our big drop Characters for free (as paying their full costs can be a pain sometimes) and triggering their on play's effect depending on how you set up the top card.

Deck List

OP06 Queen

Explanation

Like the previous build, you do not attack with this deck until you have your big drops on the field to use Queen's Leader effect and start either gaining an extra Life or draw a card, most likely it will be gaining Life. There are 2 more cards you could run, one of them is ST12 Pudding who can bounce back to your hand for the main effect, this can work really well with Queen's effect if you need low hand size to trigger Queen. Another card is OP04 Sanji, but we are already running 5 Blockers in total, I am not sure if you want another Blocker just to stall the game as much as possible, but his Trigger effect might be useful to reduce our hand size to a low number.

One of my favourite combination is using OP06 Sanji to play OP04 Yamato, triggering OP04 Yamato to gain a Life, then use Queen's effect to gain another Life, dragging the game as long as possible, since that is what this deck does. It is only possible to do this if you checked the top cards with your Characters and memorised those order, including when you use Queen's effect so it doesn't mess up the way you would play your cards. If you have short term memory, then I wouldn't both trying this as it could potentially messed up your turns if you put the cards in the wrong order.
