OP06 Purple (Iceburg) Deck Profile

I know in EB01 we will get more Water 7 supports, but I will post this build anyway. The deck is very similar to Purple Kaido build where we make use of returning DONs and ramping DONs again, but we also burn through a lot of cards in our hand. The one card I've added is 4 drop Reiju from OP06. She makes a lot of different for Iceburg, especially the extra draw power for the deck.

Ramp

We start off with the ramp of the deck as this build is very similar to Animal Kingdom Pirates where ramping matters. Paulie works on play, by paying 2 DONs, add 1 DON as active. Then if you have 8 or more DONs on your field, KO one of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. We do not need to pay the full 7 cost to play and activate Paulie's effect. All we need is 2 DONs as Iceburg will allow us to play him for free. But if you want to remove your opponent's Characters, you will need at least 7 DONs for the second part of the effect.

OP05 Zala works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand to add 1 DON as rest. I wouldn't worry about trashing cards in our hand as we can recover with the draw power in the deck. The Trigger effect is by returning 1 DON, play this card. Unfortunately, you won't gain or lose anything with this Trigger effect, plus she's only a 4k beat stick meaning you need at least 1 DON to hit the magic number. On the bright side, Zala also has 2k counter, so she will come in handy if you do not need to use the ramp effect.

OP05 Kid is a Blocker with an effect that works during your turn. Once per turn, when a DON is returned to your DON deck, add 1 DON as active. You will be doing a lot of returning DONs in this build to use the card's effects, so having Kid on the field will help you prevent from losing too many DONs, and you will have enough to still play high cost Characters.

Jet Gatling only ramp effect comes from the Trigger effect, add 1 DON as active. Otherwise, it is a 0 Event Counter and all the colours will have this effect. You may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Characters gain 3k this battle. Very simple, and I wouldn't worry about discarding for the cost as we do want to have low hand size to use cards like Reiju.

Galley-La is just Onigashima, the effect is the same except only works with Iceburg instead of Animal Kingdom Pirates. You may rest this Stage, if your Leader is Iceburg, add 1 DON as rest. Just like Animal Kingdom Pirates, drawing Galley-La in your opening hand can get things moving, especially the more you ramp, the more cards you can play as well as returning DONs back to DON deck.

Draw Power

These cards aren't just any draws, they are the one that increase your hand size instead of just drawing and trashing the same amount in hand, so you will gain some cards instead of nothing. OP03 Kalifa works when attacking, by returning 1 DON, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. This effect is basically the same as ST04 Queen's on play effect, but having when attacking is better. Although she's only a 4k beat stick, so if you need to hit stuff, you will need to give her a DON so we can draw the cards you need. Plus she also has a 2k counter which can help to protect your Leader/Characters.

4 drop Reiju is the latest addition to the deck, and the only reason why I've decided to update this build in the first place instead of waiting until EB01. The effect works on play, if the number of DONs on your field is equal or less than your opponent's field and you have 5 or less cards in your hand, draw 2 cards. I wouldn't worry too much about needing 5 or less cards in hand as we play Characters for free, in fact 2-3 Characters per turn, so you can really burn up the hand with ease even if you don't use any Counters.

Lastly ST04 Queen. We know what Queen does, he's a blocker with an on play effect. By returning 1 DON, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. Like I said, this is exact same as Kalifa so we can go through the deck pretty quickly, plus a 6k Blocker means we can stop some attacks easily.

Water 7 Supports

Now we talk about the rest of the Water 7/Galley-La supports. Kaku's effect is very simple, when attacking, by returning 1 DON, this Character gains Banish. Banish do put some pressure against your opponents, especially when a 6k beat stick is swinging at you. If they take the hit, they won't gain a card, if they use Counters, they will lose a card in their hand. It's pretty much a win win situation when Kaku is used.

Kokoro is a searcher, on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal one Water 7 card other than Kokoro and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. One of the key card is getting Galley-La Stage in our hand so we can start ramping, so if you open up with Kokoro in your opening hand, she will be very useful. Even if you don't need the stage, you still need the 5 drop Characters, or even Kalifa if you need the draw.

Now OP03 Lucci is also a card that works when attacking. By returning 1 DON, rest 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. This literally means we can rest your opponent's key cards like Blockers, so we could go for the final rush for game. Or, you can rest your opponent's beat sticks/Blockers and try and KO those Characters to reduce your opponent's field.

ST04 Supports

One thing that hasn't changed is that I've still kept ST04 stuff including Queen. ST04 Ulti works on play, by returning 1 DON, play one 4 cost or less Page One card from your hand. We wouldn't worry about not drawing Page One in this build thanks to the amount of draw power we got. But most important, it is thanks to Ulti, we could easily play 3 Characters in one turn combining with Iceburg's effect, creating a field ready to attack your opponents on your next turn.

ST04 Kaido is in the deck because of his Rush ability and we can remove your opponent's Characters at the same time. The effect works on play, by returning 5 DONs, KO 1 of your opponent's 6 cost or less Characters. This Character gains Rush this turn. It is up to you how you make the full use of this effect, we could easily remove 2 of your opponent's Characters including Kaido attack, or we can just rush your opponents thanks to the amount of spam we did on the previous turn.

Deck List

OP06 Arlong

Explanation

This build is very similar to the last build, except this time we run more draw power so we can play more Characters for free to spam the field. Both Kaido and Iceburg are ramp builds, but different style. If you like control, then its Kaido build, but if you like going wide, then it's Iceburg. We are getting more support for Iceburg, so I would changed some cards around.

I do think Iceburg deck is more on the aggressive side with the cards used as well as Iceburg being able to play Characters for free. We have the Ulti combo, plus Kaido giving us plenty of attacks against your opponents. If they couldn't remove our Characters, we could go full assault. You won't really have any problems with the lack of DONs as long as you see Galley-La Stage card on the field, so you could constantly ramp as soon as you lose a DON.
