OP06 Green (Kid) Deck Profile

I was waiting for OP06 set to post Kid build, I could post the OP05 version, but Green didn't get as much useful support aside from Donquixote Pirates stuff whereas OP06, the Green cards will work better. Which is why I've waiting until OP06 to post this deck profile. Personally, I think the engine is a bit predictable, but it works the best with this type of Leader.

Resting

As this is a Green build, I want to focus on resting your opponent's Characters especially Blockers, so we could attack them or go for the final push for game. OP01 Izo's effect is very simple. On play, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. Most importantly, he also has a 2k counter you can use during the counter step, but that is only if you don't need to use his rest effect to rest your opponent's Characters.

FILM Chopper only works when attacking. However you need to give him 1 DON to trigger the effect. Rest 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. Not really effective, but at least we can KO low cost Characters with Chopper. However, I mainly use Chopper for the 2k counter as he is not as effective as Izo, unless my opponents are playing plenty of low cost Characters for Chopper to target.

OP06 Arlong only has the rest effect when you trigger his Trigger effect. The Trigger effect is just the same as Izo's on play effect. Rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. This will allow you to stop some of your opponent's attacks if you can see this card. The on play effect is very simple, you may trash 1 card from your hand. 1 of your opponent's rested Leader cannot attack until the end of your opponent's turn. This definitely hurt Leaders with when attacking effects, as they will not be able to pull off the combo for a turn.

Now finally the long name 0 cost Event card. The Trigger effect is the exact same as OP06 Arlong. Rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. So we have 2 cards with the same Trigger effect to increase your chances of hitting them. But even if you don't want to the counter effect will be helpful. You may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Characters gain 3k power during this battle.

Free Play

What I like about this build is being able to play Characters for free to spam the board so we can make use of the Leader's effect to finish off your opponents easily. OP01 Kid have 2 effects, the first effect requires you to put a DON on Kid to work. The effect works during your opponent's turn. If this Character is rested, your opponent cannot attack any other card other than Kid. The second effect works by resting this Character to play one 3 cost or less Character from your hand. If you are desperate to trigger Kid's first effect, then you could use this effect to play your low cost Characters, then have the protection during your opponent's turn.

FILM Law is an Activate Main effect, by paying 1 DON, you may return this Character to the owner's hand to play one 3 cost Character from your hand. When it comes to 3 cost Characters, we will have plenty of choices to choose from in this build. Plus it is definitely cheaper than paying the full 3 to play a 3 cost Character, and we could play other Characters as well.

FILM Brook only has 1 effect which works on play, play up to one 3 cost or less FILM or Straw Hat type Character from your hand. As we are running the FILM engine in this build, you should have some choices to choose from when it comes to 3 cost FILM cards. I wouldn't really play Chopper or Law with this effect, unless you need to.

Now one of the key card in this deck, ST12 Mihawk. I am running plenty of Slash Characters in this build like, Brook, Law and Arlong, so you do have a few choices when you use Mihawk's effect. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or less Characters, play up to one 4 cost or less Muggy Kingdom type or Slash Attribute Character other than Mihawk from your hand rested. My personal favourite is playing Mihawk into Brook into a 3 cost FILM Character all for 3 DONs which is not bad. But if you don't have Brook, then you could play Law or Arlong, Law will let you switch into 3 cost Character for 1 DON, whilst Arlong is a 6k beat stick with an on play effect to stop your opponent's attacks.

Blockers

For the defensive side, we are running 3 different type of Blockers so we wouldn't need to worry too much about your opponent's attacks. FILM Luffy works on play, and the effect is basically FILM Brook but better. Play one 4 cost or less FILM or Straw Hat type Character from your hand. So just like Mihawk, we can play Luffy into Brook then into another Character, but it is a hefty cost of 7 instead of 3. I guess we don't put our Characters as rest which is the upside of this effect.

OP05 Corazon is a 2 drop Blocker with an effect that works on your opponent's turn. If your rested Character would be KO'd, you may trash this card instead. What I like about this effect is that we are able to protect OP01 Kid from being KO'd by effects (as the effect doesn't mention by battle, plus he's a Blocker, so it will make no sense if he doesn't work with card effects). It will forces your opponents to attack Kid, protecting your Leader/Characters.

ST11 Uta is a card we do not want to hard play as we have plenty of Characters who can play Uta for free in this build like Law, Brook and Luffy. However, the end of turn effect will be useless as I am not running a lot of Events to trigger this effect. The effect is you may trash 1 Event from your hand to set 1 of your FILM Characters as active.

Straw Hats

For the rest of the Straw Hat stuff is very simple. FILM Nami works on play/when attacking, by paying 1 DON, look at the top 3 cards of your deck, reveal 1 FILM card other than Nami and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Just like ST11 Uta, we would want to play Nami for free using Brook, Luffy or Law's effect so we could pay that 1 DON for the searcher, although I wouldn't use Luffy to play Nami unless she's the only choice in hand. Law combined with Nami will only cost you 2 DONs altogether to use both Law and Nami's effect which is better than paying 4 in total.

OP06 Zoro only have 2 effects, the first effect works when attacking, by paying 1 DON, you can set this card to active. The second effect is an Activate Main effect, by paying 2 DONs, you can set this card to active, so in total, we would be able to attack 3 times with Zoro's effect which is truly a finisher. But don't forget, we also got Kid Leader who can also set to active, so having these two combined can provide multi attack capability, except Kid Leader will need some power boost in order to become effective.

Explanation

I am using the same FILM engine for this deck as we are able to spam Characters with ease thanks to Mihawk and the FILM cards. The FILM engine is very straight forward and very simple to use if you know how to use the combos to spam the field with the right Characters. I personally won't use Kid Leader's effect unless my opponents got nothing on the field to stop the attacks. The Leader does cost 3 DONs to use, and for 3 DONs, you may have other better options to choose from.

I mainly just try and filled up the field as much as possible setting up the attacks, and if I've got spare DONs left active, then I'll use Kid Leader to swing twice per turn forcing your opponents to use counters or take some Life. It is definitely all about the timing and what have you got in your hand to make this build work. We also got plenty of stalling thanks to OP01 Kid and the Blockers, forcing your opponents to attack those cards, so you can stall for time to get the cards you need.
