Basically this is secret rare Katakuri but better as you also gain a Life. Although, she does cost 9 to play instead of 8, and you trash 1 card from your hand. But I can also use her in Purple/Yellow Crocodile build for my Life gain ability. Actually, I might try this in Crocodile build to see the difference. But what I am definitely sad is that they finally added Rock Pirates type next to Big Mom, so I'm guessing Whitebeard and Kaido will also have Former Rocks Pirates in this set.

This is not bad, although it does cost you 6 to play Wapol, but at least he has a counter for a 6 drop. The effect at least works when attacking, and if you do, he will become an 8k beat stick during your opponent's turn. I can see some uses in other builds since we want to use more of reducing your opponent's power in some of the red builds. It won't be bad in budget build as having a 6 drop with 8k beat stick and reducing your opponent's power is very handy.

Budget Deck Profile - Red/Yellow (Belo Betty) Post OP06

In my honest opinion, Belo Betty is still one of the best budget decks to build as the cards are cheap, but it is al about mastering the deck style as this build has a major drawback which is lack of hand size. This build will not hurt your wallet at all, but it is all about finding the cards for the deck since One Piece Card Game tends to have problems with finding cards you need especially Starter Deck cards, but lucky for this build, you do not need any starter deck cards to make this work, which is why I think this is the best budget decks to build for newcomers.

A Blocker with the ability to reduce your opponent's Characters cost is by 1 is handy. I know 1 is not a big number, but don't forget this is an activate main effect so we can constantly use the effect as long as he stays on the field, and doesn't use the blocker ability to stop your opponent's attacks. I'll definitely take it and run it in the build since more cost reducers cannot hurt, and even if you don't need the effect, we can just play Apoo as a Blocker.

OP06 Red/Yellow (Sabo) Deck Profile

Sabo is pretty much the only build out of the three Leaders who doesn't need the three brothers in the deck, giving you a lot of room for other cards. But since Sabo is Revolutionary Army Leader, I've decided to go with Revolutionary Army build as having that Life gain can really help. However, we won't get the power like Belo Betty Leader, powering up your Characters. Instead, we need to give our cards the DONs to hit certain power for Sabo Leader to work.

This is actually not bad, I could even use this in Blue Doffy build as Doffy can let you play the top card of your deck if it's a Warlord. I could even use this in Blue/Yellow Queen build since you sometimes draw some cards that you want in the Life area, and Namule can solve that problem especially when using Queen's effect. Well for me I can see this being used in a few decks because of low cost Blocker, but that on play effect can be really good.

OP06 Green/Purple (Doflamingo) Deck Profile

I've decided to revive this Leader because of the new FILM supports, allowing us to do plenty of searching for the deck whilst restricting your opponents from doing anything. I was planning to do 2 deck profile for Doffy, but EB01 is around the corner, so I am waiting for that set to release in English to post that build fully built with better supports for the deck. Currently this build is just a FILM deck with a bit of Donquixote stuff, so Doffy FILM build, although EB01 also have new FILM stuff, maybe I could post 2 deck profiles for Doffy then.

OP06 Blue/Yellow (Ace) Deck Profile

The way I've built Ace will be the same way that I did with Black/Yellow Luffy. Mostly Yellow cards with a splash of blue, as the blue side of things doesn't really suit Ace style. Maybe when we get new Whitebeard Pirates cards in OP08, I could try a complete new build with more blue cards involve. But right now, I can call this mostly yellow deck more than blue/yellow build.

This is not bad at all, I can see this being used in the Minks build, especially when Zou can set Pekoms to active, so your Characters would be protected by effects. Not only that, we could also swing with Minks Blockers, if they would make any of those in the upcoming reveals. We can also untap a DON, as having that 1 extra DON means we could play more cards or set up to use Counter Event cards from hand during the opponent's turn.

This is a different type of searcher. Instead of adding cards to your hand, you will get to play those Characters instead. Although looking at this translation, it seems there's no cost restrictions. If One Piece TCG decided to make like an 8 cost Upper Yard Character, then we could play that for free. Hopefully the high drop Characters won't be as broken if we got ways to cheat cards out thanks to this and the Leader's effect.

OP06 Black/Yellow (Luffy) Deck Profile

I personally think Luffy is easier to build out of the three brothers from the starter deck. Maybe because we've already got plenty of 5 drops from yellow and black card pool especially black Sabo, making kid Sabo have more targets between the yellow 5 drop Sabo and black 5 drop Sabo. But this is my personal opinion, as the main cards for the starter deck suits Luffy more than Sabo or Ace builds.

Now we focus on OP06 stuff for Big Mom. I don't think the starter deck is too bad, you do drop down a Life until you have 2 or less to trigger Big Mom Leader's effect. But once you do reach down that requirement, you could start swapping the cards for Trigger effects from your hand. Some of the OP06 stuff will actually help this deck, although mainly 2 of the new cards for Yellow build.

OP06 Red/Green (Luffy) Deck Profile

The new FILM cards from OP06 gave me an idea to build this deck combining with the green FILM cards as the green FILM cards are mainly Straw Hat which will works amazing with Luffy Leader. I do quite like this deck as it got plenty of cards that are very handy especially with the new cards, plus we have spam the board with Rush creating plenty of attack opportunities.

[One Piece Card Information Bureau] 3D2Y Starter Deck List Revealed

 

Looks like in this video, we've got the full list of cards in the starter deck with the rest of the starter cards revealed. The cards they've shown in this video are the SR cards of the starter deck. Personally, I have no idea if I want to build this. Increase costs looks fun but it is still Straw Hats deck, so I don't feel like playing another Straw Hat build, I want something different. This will be a skip for me, unless the key cards I need is in that starter deck for my other black builds. I think I need one of them.

OP06 Purple (Shanks) Deck Profile

With the new FILM cards in OP06 set, I've decided to revive Shanks. I personally think Shanks have a very powerful effect, but FILM cards doesn't have enough ramp to back him up, so making Shanks used less. Although if we can spam the board, Shanks can become very deadly against your opponents. We do have ways to recycle the cards so we can use those cards again against your opponents.

As long as this Character is active, your cost 3 or less {Minks} type Characters other than [Pekoms] cannot be KO’d by effects.

This is not bad at all. All you need to do is not attack with Pekoms and you have protection for your low cost Characters. Although I might use this with Zoro & Sanji Leader as you can attack with Pekoms then use the Leader to untap Pekoms so we have that protection since Pekoms reach that requirements. I might try this idea and find out if it works, although I don't think there's any Minks cards in Blue card pool, so it will mostly be green base build with a splash of blue cards.

This is not too bad for a starter deck card, a 8 cost Rush Character with 10k power. The only problem is having a 10 cost Character on the field, but I guess if you are playing this new type of style deck, then 10 cost or higher is not difficult. Although you could play a 10 cost Character like Kuzan so you don't need to increase any of your Characters for the Rush ability.

OP06 Green (Kid) Deck Profile

I was waiting for OP06 set to post Kid build, I could post the OP05 version, but Green didn't get as much useful support aside from Donquixote Pirates stuff whereas OP06, the Green cards will work better. Which is why I've waiting until OP06 to post this deck profile. Personally, I think the engine is a bit predictable, but it works the best with this type of Leader.

However, I have no idea if this style is going to be in OP08 set as well, but if they are, then this might be a staple card like Great Eruption.

OP06 Blue/Purple (Kaido) Deck Profile

When I was building Purple Kaido deck using OP06 stuff, it gave me an idea to try and use a similar engine for Blurple Kaido deck. Personally I think having access to Blue can really help the deck especially getting the key cards we need. Plus we have more ramp thanks to Kaido's Leader effect, so we can easily recover the amount of DONs we loses from using card's effects. However, this might be a long post as I've tried to fit as much as possible in a 50 card deck, so if you don't care about the reading, just scroll all the way down.

Finally a Straw Hat that has an effect after the reveals have been vanillas so far except Robin. Getting a 6 cost or higher on the field is not difficult to do, but it really depends on which one you have. You could have a low cost Character that have been increasing their costs to hit some requirements. Anyway Franky's effect is pretty strong as he will become an 8k beat stick with protection from KO effects. So if your opponents want to remove him, they will need more power, or just play non KO cards.

OP06 Yellow (Katakuri) Deck Profile

Just like Enel build, I'll be taking out Impact/Reject so it will save me time from posting an updated version of Katakuri build. The OP05 version comes with 2 deck builds, but for this build, I will just post 1 version as the new cards from OP06 is enough. I just feels the second build isn't as efficient as the first build, no point posting the second build if the engine doesn't work vs the current engine people are using in the meta.

Looks like we got another vanilla Chopper. I literally thought he was Chopperman, but then I remembered he did this disguise in the anime. I didn't read the manga that far back back then, so I wouldn't know if he also appears in the manga. Anyway being a 4 drop means we can play Chopper early and used our increase cost cards to boost the 4 cost into 8 cost Character to trigger the requirements for some cards.

If we look at the recent reveal cards for Straw Hat, it is not hard to reach 8 cost or higher just to trigger this 1 drop Counter card. But this counter is not restricted to Straw Hats, and seeing some decks run 10 drop Kuzan and 8 drop Moria will easily trigger this requirement even if you don't have increase cost cards. Plus the trigger effect is very handy as in those builds, you could bring back searchers or your low cost cost reducers back to your hand. I can see this being run in Black builds since Black Counters haven't been very good in the card pool.

OP06 Red/Purple (Law) Deck Profile

Law build is back with some upgrades, and unlike some builds, we do have a lot of upgrades from OP06 set even for a non OP06 deck. instead of just 1 new card to the deck. The deck style is the same as last time where we focus on removing your opponent's Characters whilst filling up the board. But at the same time we also need to managed the DONs as we don't want to have very few DONs to only play 1 card per turn.

This is actually not bad at all. You can just use this card in any builds. Plus being a Slash Character means we could play Pedro for free using Mihawk effects. He is a Blocker with a On KO effect. Not bad for a common as well as we can either rest your opponent's Characters or DONs. I may have some ideas in which deck I should try using Pedro in, or try and create a random Green deck where we can rest both your opponent's DONs or Characters.

Union Arena: Goddess of Victory:NIKKE

 

Personally, I think this game is just Weiss Schwarz copy when it comes to anime card games, but there's a lot out there, like Chaos TCG (Never released in the West), Precious Memories (Have some decks that I want) and Rebirth for You. But apart from Weiss Schwarz, the card games I've mentioned, never came out to the west. My only problem with this game is that it is another Bandai game. Seeing how Bandai have handle One Piece and DBS Fusion World releases, I don't expect the English side of things will go well, and will need to wait for the game to settle down and see how things are run.

Hopefully we will see more low cost Straw Hats in the starter deck. I do like the art though, so it is a shame, that the art is wasted on a vanilla instead of an effect.

OP06 Purple (Iceburg) Deck Profile

I know in EB01 we will get more Water 7 supports, but I will post this build anyway. The deck is very similar to Purple Kaido build where we make use of returning DONs and ramping DONs again, but we also burn through a lot of cards in our hand. The one card I've added is 4 drop Reiju from OP06. She makes a lot of different for Iceburg, especially the extra draw power for the deck.

Personally, I don't know what to say. At least he powers up the Leader as well as the Pudding Characters. But will I run him? Maybe in a budget build but if it's a standard build, then the answer is no. Unless we get a card like Zoro Leader where we can power up these Characters, then I might try a new idea with the build then. Although I think there's a card that works with Homies, so I might try and build a Homies deck just for fun, but that's only if there is enough Homies in order to build the deck.

OP06 Green/Yellow (Arlong) Deck Profile

With the new Fishman/Merfolk supports, we can also revive Arlong for the deck. Just like Hody, Arlong can spam a lot of Characters, but we also got the access to yellow cards which makes this build even better. The deck will have access to plenty of Trigger effects since Arlong can play Trigger cards for free, so we will easily save up a lot of DONs to use for your other Characters, or even power up those Characters with your untap DONs.

The first thing I'm going to talk about is that long name. The name barely fits in Japanese text so when this comes out in English, I reckoned it will need 2 lines for the title, unless they made the text very small. I'm already used to long naming cards thanks to VG naming sense, but for One Piece Event cards, they are mainly moves or saying from the One Piece series, so it's different from VG naming.

Anyway, I think the effect is not bad at all. Yes you do need 8 cost or higher Character to KO something, but this shouldn't be too difficult for Black new style. You also KO low cost Characters which we have plenty of cost reducers in Black to do that for you. The Trigger effect is pretty good, but the only downside is having 8 cost or higher to work, and if you see this during the early turns, then you will just need to add this card to hand.

OP06 Blue/Yellow (Queen) Deck Profile

Queen is back with another update for the deck with mostly help from ST12 starter deck. But just like the previous build, this will be a defensive control deck, so you won't be doing much attacking until you get the cards in play to trigger Queen's Leader effect. Although I do not think playing defensive is good against the latest meta, but unfortunately Queen only works best if we have low hand size so we need to drag the game very long.

Too bad she doesn't power up the Leader by 1k, but on the bright side, you could make your Blockers harder to KO, like Sanji being an 8k Blocker whilst Momo a 7k Blocker. So I don't think this cards is all that bad when it comes to powering up. But I can't really think of many decks who could make use of taking Life except Enel build. Maybe I just haven't explored the Yellow deck as much as I should.

ST14-007 Nico Robin Revealed + Video

 

Honestly for a 30 mins video, it wasn't very interesting. All I'm interest is the card revealed at the end of the video, so click almost the end of the video if you want their review on the new card shown. I really don't care if they talk about One Piece TCG in general as this is a One Piece Channel, so of course they will talk good about this game, they won't call the game bad or needs fixing for certain aspect of the game. I will be surprised if they talked anything bad about the game on the main channel.

But I have no idea if Jozu will be useful in the deck, I guess we will have to wait for what the rest of the Whitebeard Pirates cards does before making a definition of good/bad about this card.

OP06 Yellow (Enel) Deck Profile

Lets just say this Enel build got a complete revamp compare to the OP05 version of the deck. However, I won't be running Impact/Reject in the build since the card will be banned in June, and I don't want to write everything up again just for these builds since at that time, I'll be focusing on EB01 builds unless I get more authors to write for me. However if you do want to run Impact/Reject in the build, I think the obvious replacement is Thunder Bolt as I'm using Thunder Bolt still instead of Impact/Reject.

Well I literally thought we would get Rayleigh as a Leader because of the title being 2 Legends and we haven't seen any Gold Roger Pirates stuff yet even though there's been a lot of sets already. I guess Kalgara is another Legend, but I forgotten all about him since its been way too long since I last watched Sky Island arc. Anyway the effect lets you play Shandorian Warriors for free, but of course, you will take a Life, so the more you use this effect, the weaker he becomes and the closer you lose. Hopefully, you would have enough Characters to rush your opponents before they finish off your Life.

Another 1 drop. I think this tells me we might see all the Characters who trained the Straw Hats in the starter deck. I hope because there's not a lot left as this is just a starter deck, and the rest will need to be in OP08 set. Anyway the effect is just giving +2 cost to your Characters, but it is until the end of your opponent's next turn. This might help with some effects who need high cost Characters on the field to trigger the effect especially Trigger effects if you see them.

OP06 Red/Yellow (Belo Betty) Deck Profile

We do have a few new cards for Revolutionary Army, but you won't need all of the new cards. I think I will keep this build a rush build, so we can win as we would sacrifice hand size. I am not sure if I should post a second deck with Blockers so we could balance out both offense and defensive capability, not need to worry about using Counters to protect the Characters from being attacked, since the one main weakness is the lack of defensive capabilities.

Well Pudding looks like its confirmed to take the Purple spot which leaves Rayleigh taking Yellow spot. I'll take it since I don't have a Yellow build as the recent Yellow stuff are either expensive or impossible to find. I don't mind turn my Life face up since we can utilise Yellow to swap some cards around, and the effect makes it even better since we can check if the top card is a Trigger or not. I usually hate adding Trigger to my hand, then put it back to Life and said quietly to myself, what a waste on an effect. I think this also solve another Purple card (I think its Purple) who's a searcher who searches both Animal Kingdom Pirates and Big Mom Pirates.
