EB01 Red/Purple (Law) Deck Profile

Law also have a new card in the build and just like ST10 Luffy, we know what that two new cards in the build from EB01 set is. For me, I have to rewrite this build again from OP06 set, but it is good as the deck always changes if I need to rewrite a post for that Leader. I don't keep the deck build the same with two new cards added, unless it is a very specific type of deck like Green Uta FILM deck where you mainly need the same FILM cards in the build.

Power Reducers

The power reducers, we do need these cards so Law can target 3k power or less Characters and return those cards back to the deck. OP01 Otama works on play, reduce 1 of your opponent's Characters power by 2k this turn. This is not bad against 5k power base, but if you want to remove a high power Character using Law's effect, then we need the other two power reducers we've got in the deck.

Max and Gordon have the exact same effect except one comes in a booster pack whilst the other is a promo card. Ideally if you have both, then it will be better for Law's effect to work. The effect is an activate main, you may place this Character to the bottom of the owner's deck to reduce 1 of your opponent's Characters power by 3k this turn. This is not too bad as we can target 6k power Characters to remove using Law's effect rather than Otama 2k power. But if you want to remove high power Characters, then you will need to combine these cards to work.

Ramp

The ramp of the deck and these cards will be very important as we will be constantly returning DONs back to the deck, so we could play Characters for free using Law's effect. EB01 Bon Clay have 2 effects, the first effect works on play, add 1 DON as active. Very simple. The second effect is what makes this card very pricey. When attacking, select 1 of your opponent's Characters. This Character base power becomes the same as the selected Character power this turn. So the higher the power, the more deadly Bon Clay could become.

Ain's effect is very simple, on play, add 1 DON as rest. Now this is an old card, so the effect can be underwhelming these days as we've got more ramp cards to use for other builds. But she is a 5k beat stick once she hits the field, so you will not need to worry about giving Ain a DON to hit the magic number against your opponents.

Shachi & Penguin works on play, if you have 3 or less DONs, add up to 2 DONs as rest. Now this card is designed for ST10 Law since Law will be returning 3 DONs for you to remove a Character and play a Character from your hand for free. So you will easily trigger this effect, and it is a card I do want to see during the early stages of the game.

ST10 Bepo is also nice to have in the build as we can easily get less DONs than your opponents. The effect works on play/when attacking, if your opponent has more DONs on their field than you, add 1 DON as rest. What I like about this card is that Bepo is a constant ramper unlike the other three cards who only works on play, which is why as long as Bepo is on the field, you will be ramping pretty easily.

Rush

For the aggressive side I am running 2 cards with Rush ability, but if you don't like to run OP01 Zoro because of lack of counters in the build, then it is perfectly fine to run Kid & Killer in the build. As Zoro only has a Rush ability, I will mainly be talking about Kid & Killer who also got a when attacking effect. If your opponent has 2 or less Life, this Character gains 2k power this turn. 2 or less Life is not really difficult to do as we will be mainly spamming the board with Characters to attack your opponent's Leaders.

Draw Power

As we are mainly spamming Characters on the field, we can easily use up our hand size pretty quickly, not including using counters to stop the attacks. So having these draw power that increase our hand can be very helpful. 4 drop Reiju's effect works on play, if the number of DONs on your field is equal or less than your opponents and you have 5 or less cards in your hand, draw 2 cards. This is very easy to do thanks to Law's effect, so even if we have ramp, it will be a bit difficult to get more DONs than your opponents.

ST04 Queen is a Blocker with an on block effect. By returning 1 DON, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. Unlike Reiju where you get +2 in your hand, Queen only +1 in our hand, but we will have plenty of cards to trash with the amount of non counter cards in the build. But I guess we also have a 6k Blocker ready to stop one of your opponent's attacks.

Blockers

As we have a lot of non counter cards, but most of them will be on the field rather than in hand, we will need more Blockers to completely stop your opponent attacks. OP05 Kid have an effect that works during your turn. When a DON is returned to your DON deck, add 1 DON as active. This is so instead of returning 3 DONs using Law's effect, you will get 1 DON back, so you won't lose as much when you use Law's effect.

Shuraiya on the other hand is a Blocker but can be act as an attacker for the build. The effect works when attacking/on block. Once per turn, this Character becomes the same power as your opponent's Leader until the start of your next turn. So the more DONs your opponent put on their Leaders, the better Shuraiya will become. Although when it comes to power, EB01 Bon Clay can definitely become a better beat stick over Shuraiya.

Removal

Not a lot of removal in this build which is the only downside of the deck. We've only got Law and OP06 Kamazo who will be doing the removal. Now OP06 Kamazo only triggers when you return a DON back to the deck, just like OP05 Kid. Once per turn, when a DON is returned to your DON deck, KO up to 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. 2 cost or less is a low number especially when we don't have cost reducers who could make use of this effect, but on the bright side, he is a 5k beat stick with 2k counter.

EB01 Law

Explanation

Another full Character build where we need the ramp so we could use Law's effect to play Characters on the field for free whilst removing your opponent's Characters. Although I won't use Law's effect as soon as possible, since you do want to build up some DONs to actually play your Characters, then use Law's effect to play Characters for free, so you won't be having troubles at not playing Characters in your hand, as most of the Characters in the build doesn't have counters.

The power reducers will also be important as we want to remove your opponent's Characters with Law's effect and not just play Characters for free. Otherwise it will feel like a waste, returning 3 DONs just to play a Character for free. Especially if we have lack of removals in this build. You can add OP05 Fire Fist if you want the extra removal whilst also reducing your opponent's power, but then, I would take out OP01 Zoro for Fire Fist and bump Kamazo to 3.
