EB01 Purple (Iceburg) Deck Profile

The new Water 7 support from EB01 makes you play more Water 7 cards with ease, but the deck was very easy to upgrade as there was only 2 replacement for the deck compare to the previous build. All I did was changed the number arounds so I can add the new cards. I can say, spamming the board is a lot easier with the increase amount of Water 7 stuff in the build.

Ramp

Lets start off with the key point of the deck which is ramp, the more you can ramp, the earlier we can play our big drops onto the field and push for strong attacks. Paulie works on play, by paying 2 DONs, add 1 DON as active, then if you got 8 or more DONs, KO 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. Basically if we want the removal effect, we need at least 7 DONs to work, we wouldn't need to worry about paying 2 DONs to ramp as Iceburg can play him for free.

OP05 Zala is for the extra ramp if you need the DONs. The effect works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand, add 1 DON as rest. The Trigger effect is by returning 1 DON, you may play this card. Personally I won't use the Trigger effect as it is kinda pointless unless we need Characters on the field. She does have 2k counter, so even if I don't need the ramp, the 2k counter will come in handy.

OP05 Kid is a Blocker with an effect that works on your turn. Once per turn, when a DON is returned to your DON deck, add 1 DON as active. You will be returning plenty of DONs back to the deck because of Iceburg's effect to play Galley-La Characters for free. Plus we also have other cards who returns DONs back to deck, so Kid's effect will be pretty handy to make us return few DONs as possible.

Jet Gatling is an Event card, but also Water 7 meaning it can be search out from deck with the Water 7 searcher. The ramp effect comes in the Trigger effect, so luck will need to be involve. You may add 1 DON as active. This is up to you if you want to trigger this or not as we can also focus on the Counter effect. The Counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Characters gain 3k power this battle.

Galley-La is our main card we want to see in our opening hand. The effect is you may rest this Stage, if your Leader is Iceburg, add 1 DON as rest. This effect is the exact same as Onigashima who works with Animal Kingdom Pirates Leader, and Iceburg got his own Stage card. Both do focus heavily on ramping so we can play high cost Characters as soon as possible, as well as using Iceburg's effect to play another Galley-La Character for free.

Draw

Now we have the draw power cards who actually increases your hand size and not just a hand filter. OP03 Kalifa works when attacking, by returning 1 DON, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. This is actually okay, but the extra draw definitely help if you need to dig through specific cards. Plus even if you don't need to use Kalifa, she has a 2k counter we could use during the Counter step.

Reiju is draw power rely on specific requirements unlike Kalifa. She works on play, if the number of DONs on your field is equal or less than your opponent's field and you have 5 or less cards in your hand, draw 2 cards. Having less DONs shouldn't be too much of a problem as we have plenty of cards that can return DONs back to deck. It is all about if you can get low hand size as we have Kalifa and Queen in the build who also increases your hand size.

ST04 Queen is a Blocker with an on play effect. It is the exact same as Kalifa. By returning 1 DON, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. Although this is an on play effect whilst Kalifa can trigger more constantly thanks to being a when attacking effect. But I guess it won't cause any harm by running both in the deck so we could increase hand size with ease.

Water 7 Supports

There are plenty of Water 7 supports for the deck especially when two of these cards are from EB01 set. EB01 Kalifa works on play, by returning 1 DON, if your Leader is Water 7 type, add up to two 4 cost or less Characters from your trash to your hand. We do have a few choices, but unfortunately most of the Galley-La Characters are 5 drops and we've only got 4 drop Kalifa. But I guess we could get 4 drop Kalifa or Zala to use their 2k counter during the counter step.

I literally forgot Blueno is not a Galley-La Character and more of a CP Agent. He is just a bartender in the Water 7 city. But this card is really good. The effect works on play, by returning 1 DON, if your Leader is Water 7 type, play up to one 5 cost Water 7 Character other than Blueno from your hand or trash. Currently, I don't think we have a 5 cost Blueno at the moment, but at least we could play the other 5 drops we have in the build which are mainly Galley-La Characters.

Kokoro is a Water 7 searcher. On play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Water 7 card other than Kokoro and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. This one card will definitely help us to search for the Stage card Galley-La so we could play high cost Characters as soon as possible.

OP03 Lucci works when attacking, by returning 1 DON, rest 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. This is actually very important as we could rest 5 drop Blockers that some decks run, but we could also target your opponent's 5 drop beat stick Characters. It really depends on the situation, but I still find Lucci very good as we could rest your opponent's Characters to either slow them down, or go for the final push for game.

Removals

I guess what this deck is mainly missing is some form of removals, and unfortunately Water 7 cards doesn't have much removals we could actually use. OP06 Kamazo is very similar to OP05 Kid's effect. When a DON on your field is returned, KO 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. This is very easy to trigger, but only if your opponents have low cost Characters. Not only that Kamazo is a 5k beat stick and have 2k counter. Either options are pretty good.

ST04 Kaido is very strong in the build as we focus on ramp, so returning DONs won't really affect your plays as we can easily ramp the DONs back. Kaido's effect works on play, by returning 5 cards, KO 1 of your opponent's 6 cost or less Characters. This Character gains Rush. Rush plus removal effect can be a deadly combo as we could clear your opponent's board very easily.

Explanation

I wouldn't worry too much about lack of Galley La Characters as we have the draw power to draw into those cards. But as long as you can ramp and spam the board with Characters, you should be fine as the deck is pretty much similar to the previous versions with only 2 card changed just like Green Uta build. The only thing I wished for is having more removals to remove my opponent's Characters so I don't need to attack your opponent's Characters when they are rested.
