EB01 Blue/Purple (Crocodile) Deck Profile

There are several ways I can think of in how to build this Crocodile build to make use of the Leader's effect. But with a new card from EB01 set, I've decided to add more Events compare to the previous build. You will still easily maintain 4 or less cards in hand as we have plenty of ways to reduce our hand without the need to use Counters, but of course, if we use counters, we won't need to take a damage.

Ramp

Personally, ramp does play some role in this build, as the more we ramp, the easier we can play high cost cards on the field. EB01 Bon Clay have two effects, the first effect works on play, add 1 DON as active. The second effect is where we can make Bon Clay a decent beat stick. When attacking, select 1 of your opponent's Characters. This Character base power will become the same as the selected Character power. Bon Clay works the best if your opponent has a high power beat stick on the field.

OP05 Zala and ST04 Jack have similar effects as they both works on play and both requires you to discard a card from your hand in order to ramp. However, if you use Zala's effect, that DON will come into rest whilst Jack will let you have an active DON that could be given to Crocodile Leader to trigger his effect. The only difference is that Zala has a Trigger effect where you return 1 DON to play this card, but I don't think it is worth it unless you need a beat stick on the field to attack with.

Baroque Works

I am not running the Baroque Work searcher Mikita as I don't have enough room, although she would be a great addition to the deck as we have plenty of Baroque Work cards. EB01 Daz have 2 effects, the first effect is a continuous effect. If your Leader is Baroque Works, this Character gains 1k power for every 2 Events in your trash. So basically, the more Events we could get in the trash, the deadlier Daz becomes, especially when the power also carries to our opponent's turn. The second effect works on play, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. Funny enough, this effect is a +1 in hand, but this shouldn't hurt too much for Crocs Leader as we don't have the major draw power in the deck.

Ms All Sunday is a Blocker with an on KO effect. If your Leader is Baroque Works, add 1 Event from your trash to your hand. She is definitely useful to recycle any Event cards we will need, either a counter card or a removal card to use against your opponents. One more thing, the effect is not colour restricted, so we can literally add any Event cards we want from the trash. It does opens up a lot of options.

OP04 Crocodile is more like a stall card. But as long as we can ramp, playing Crocs early will be very handy. Crocs have two effects, the first effect works on play, by returning 2 DONs, if your Leader is Baroque Works, add 1 card from the top of your deck to top of your Life area. Yellow is not the only colour with this effect, as Baroque Work decks also got this too, plus we don't need low Life to trigger this effect which is even better. The second effect works during your opponent's turn, by returning 1 DON, draw 1 card and trash 1 card. This will come in handy especially if we draw too much Events in our hand and don't have enough DONs to use them.

Okama way can be really handy for this build, it is an Event card so we would be able to set up the trash for EB01 Daz. The counter effect is by returning 1 DON, if your Leader is Baroque Works, select 1 of your Characters and change the attack target to the selected Character. This can be act as a Blocker, you could use this on your high power Characters, so you won't lose anything with this effect and also stopping one of your opponent's attacks. The Trigger effect is by returning 1 DON, draw 2 cards. This can also be very handy especially when we focus on having a low hand size in hand, so extra draw power during the opponent's turn can help us gain more counters in our hand.

Desert Spada is another Counter Event, I was planning to take this card out at some power because Okama Way is just a better card to use, but the effect can be handy with Crocs Leader. The counter effect is 1 of your Leader/Character gains 2k power. Then, look at the top 3 cards of your deck and place them at the top or bottom of your deck in any order. So if you have low hand size and trigger Crocs Leader's effect, you will be able to draw that card that you have place at the top instead of drawing a random card. The Trigger effect is the same as Daz's on play effect where you draw 2 cards and trash 1 card. Again, just like Okama Way, the trigger effect will be very handy if we have low hand size so we could get more counters into the hand.

Events

More Event cards to power up Daz's effect, and coincidently most of them are Luffy's moves set. Rain and Jet Gatling have the exact same counter effect which is, you may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Character gains 3k power this battle. The only difference will be their Trigger effects. Rain's trigger effect is return one 2 cost or less Character to the owner's hand, whilst Jet Gatling's trigger effect is add 1 DON as active. You will more likely to use this trigger effect more than Rain since we will be returning DONs for a few cards.

Red Roc is a removal, otherwise we won't really have answers against your opponent's Characters. The main effect is place 1 Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. What I like about this effect is that you can choose any Characters you want, but of course we want to target your opponent's highest cost Characters, unless they don't run any. The Trigger effect is place one 4 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. If we see this card in the Life area, it wouldn't be too bad as we could potentially stop one of your opponent's attacks.

Raging Tiger is to stop your opponents from going wide, otherwise Red Roc would be enough if it wasn't to stop going wide decks. The main effect is place two 6 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. The only downside to this effect is definitely the 6 cost or less restrictions as we wouldn't be able to stop 7 cost or higher Characters without Red Roc. The Trigger effect is place one 5 cost or less to the bottom of the owner's deck. I guess this trigger effect is better than Red Roc as it broaden our choices for the Characters.

Draw

We have 2 cards in this build that can provide the draw power, although 1 of these cards is more like a hand filter more than draw. Kaya works on play, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. I think this is good as we could reduce the number of Events in our hand for more counter cards if we can't use those Event cards early. She is also a good turn 1 play if we want to draw the key cards for this build like the ramp.

ST04 Queen is a draw power card like EB01 Daz. He is a 5 drop Blocker, but I don't think it should be too difficult to play with the ramp we got in this build. The effect works on play, by returning 1 DON, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. This will come in handy as we will need all the draw power we can especially for this kind of build who focus on low hand size to work. Plus a 6k Blocker will help to stop some attacks unless your opponent have 6k or above power.

Deck List

EB01 Crocs

Explanation

There are a lot of Events in this build as I've centred around Daz's effect, so the maximum power Daz will gain will be 9k extra power on top of his 6k power, so we would have a 15k beat stick on the field. But that is only if you managed to find all Event cards in the deck. Ideally we want to get Daz to at least 10k power so we have a decent beat stick ready to wipe any of your opponent's Characters. Plus we also have OP04 Crocs who is also a 9k beat stick for an 8 drop Character.

But what our main aim is definitely ramp so we could play our high cost cards with ease. This is also why there is a high cost curve in this build as we are running 3 type of ramp cards at max copies. I guess I could include Jet Gatling but that is only if you hit its Trigger effect. Plus we need Jet Gatling in our hand to reduce the hand size for Crocs Leader effect,
