OP07 Yellow (Katakuri) Deck Profile

Just like most of the old decks, we've only got 1 new card that can suit Katakuri style. I personally like Katakuri deck more than Enel, but this is my opinion as Katakuri suits me better. The deck is mainly the same where we focus on Charlotte family as the base of the build, whilst spamming Katakuri Leader's effect so we could swing for 7k power or more against your opponent's cards.

Life Area

We've got some cards that targets the Life area. EB01 Flampe works on play, you may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life to your hand to draw 1 card. Basically with this card, we will be able to draw 2 cards in one go, but of course the lower your Life, the less likely you could check the top cards of your Life with Katakuri's effect.

10 drop Big Mom works on play, if your Leader is Big Mom Pirates type, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. Then, trash 1 card from your opponent's Life. The only downside to this is that we won't be able to use Katakuri's effect for a turn, but in return we would have a Life gain as well as being able to trash your opponent's Life, forcing your opponents to use counters early.

8 drop Katakuri is more like a removal, but at the same time doesn't actually get rid off that Character entirely. The effect works on play, add one 8 cost or less Character to the owner's Life area. I guess the best thing about this effect is that we can also target our own Characters if we need that Life gain.

OP06 Hiyori works really well with Katakuri's effect because of the on play effect. You may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life to your hand. Add 1 card from your hand to top of your Life. Katakuri can check if the top card is a trigger and if not, we can play Hiyori to replace that card with a trigger card we can use on your opponent's turn.

ST07 Big Mom works on play, your opponents chooses one of the following, they either trash their Life or you gain a Life. Either way, this is a win win situation we have, unless your opponents is at 0 Life, then they will always choose trashing Life, although once they are at 0 Life, we would make use of the DONs to try and finish off your opponents rather than playing ST04 Big Mom.

Removals

I guess if we've include 8 drop Katakuri, we've only got 3 removals in total. This may not be enough, or might be enough depending on the decks you are playing against. Gedatsu only has an on play effect, KO 1 of your opponent's Characters with cost equal or less than their Life cards. The problem with Gedatsu is that late game will be pretty useless as your opponents will only be at 1 or 2 Life, so we would need to play Gedatsu early if we want to KO a high cost Character.

OP06 Onami is mainly for the trigger effect. You can use the main effect, but I am not too sure if it is worth it unless you are up against a Trigger deck. The main effect works on play, 1 of your Leader or Character gains Banish this turn. Banish helps you to trash your opponent's Life. The trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. You can use Onami's on play effect, then use 8 drop Katakuri to place her onto your Life area so you can trigger her effect.

Searchers

Now we've got the 2 main searchers for the Charlotte family or Big Mom Pirates depending how you interpret these Characters. OP03 Pudding works on play, look at the top 4 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Sanji or Big Mom Pirates card other than Pudding and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The best thing about this search effect is that we can also search for Sanji and not only Big Mom Pirates cards.

OP03 Perospero is another searcher, but the effect only works on KO. Look at the top 3 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Big Mom Pirates card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The good news is if your opponents don't KO Perospero, we would have a 5k beat stick to swing, and if they do, we gain a card. But we are running a low number of Big Mom Pirates cards in the build, so you can easily wiff the effect. The Trigger effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card.

Trigger Characters

The cards that's mainly in the build for their trigger effects, although 2 of these cards can be hard play. OP04 Bege's trigger effect 1 of your opponent's Leader or Characters cannot attack this turn. This can slow your opponent's attacks down, but if they got nothing, then we will need to add Bege to hand for the 2k counter to use in the counter step.

OP04 Sanji can be searched out thanks to Pudding's effect. He is a Blocker with a trigger effect that is the exact same as Perospero. You may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. As we don't have too much removals in this build, we will need to stall to bring out the Big Moms, so having a Blocker in the build can really help.

OP07 Franky is like Sanji where we can hard play the card because of the base power. Although if you can hit the trigger effect, it will be even better. The trigger effect is draw 1 card, then if you have 1 or less Life, play this card. The best thing about this trigger effect is that we can draw even if we can't play Franky, as getting 1 or less Life will be a bit difficult compare to some Yellow builds.

Events

Personally, these 2 Events will be enough for the deck. Amaru has a main effect, 1 of your Leader or Characters gains 3k power this battle. Then, if you have 1 or less Life, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. This can be very handy to set up for final attacks, resting your opponent's Blockers. The trigger effect is you may trash 2 cards from your hand to add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. This is optional, but if you got a massive hand size, then it is worth using this effect so we could use Katakuri Leader more when it comes to checking the Life cards.

The yellow 0 Event Counter will be very handy in this build as there are plenty of non counter cards in this build, so we can use those cards for discard cost. The counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader or Characters gains 3k power this battle. We also move on to the trigger effect which may come in handy. If you have 0 Life, you may add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. Then, trash 1 card. If we managed to see this card in the Life area, Katakuri could always put this to the bottom of the Life area.

Deck List

OP07 Katakuri

Explanation

The deck is simple, we focus on spamming Katakuri's Leader effect so we can swing for massive power against your opponent's cards. At the same time, this will also tells you if you have a trigger card on top or not. If not, you could always use Hiyori's effect to replace that card with a Trigger card in your hand. We also need to stall enough time so we can play the 2 Big Moms in the build, although, it will really depends on how you will play ST07 Big Mom and the options your opponents chooses.
