OP07 Green/Yellow (Yamato) Deck Profile

Yamato got a nice upgrade with 1 card and that is Otama, of course, this will means we will be changing the deck to use cards from both EB01 and OP07 set. We have a lot of ways to build this deck whether you want control or being aggressive, so I don't know what would be the ideal build. I try to do a bit of offense and defence, so we can be very aggressive on the attack whilst having cards to protect ourselves from your opponent's attacks.

Resting

We've only got 2 cards who can rest your opponent's Characters, not a lot, but very handy in situations where we can go for final push for game with Yamato being an aggressive Leader. OP01 Izo works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Character. We can easily search Izo from the deck thanks to being a Wano Character but also green which is good for OP07 Otama's effect.

Hody is still amazing, but there is a drawback with the card. Hody have Rush with an on play effect, rest up to total of 2 of your opponent's Character/DONs. Then, add the top card of your Life to your hand. We do lose a Life once we've used Hody's effect, but on the bright side, we are able to rest any cards on the field, except the Leader. Plus being a Rush card means we can attack straight away without the need of waiting a turn.

Free Play

Now we've got 2 cards who can play cards for free. EB01 Hiyori is an activate main effect, so you can play her for 4 and wait until you get the right cards to use her effect. The effect you may trash this card to play one 5 cost or less Wano Character other than Hiyori. Then, draw 1 card. The best thing about this effect is that it is not colour restricted as long as they are Wano Characters. Its a nice trade off on top of you getting the extra draw power.

OP01 Kid actually works very well with Yamato Leader who can attach DONs to Characters. The first effect works during your opponent's turn, but you will need to attach a DON for the effect to work. If this Character is rested, your opponent cannot attack any other cards other than Kid. This will force your opponents to attack Kid only, so they will need plenty of DONs if they want to KO Kid. The second effect is an activate main. You may rest this Character to play one 3 cost or less from your hand. Now you won't need 9 DONs altogether to use Kid's first ability straight away which is what I like about him in this build.

Wano Supports

Now we have very simple Wano support cards that are must be needed for this build. OP01 Momo is a searcher and the effect works activate main. By paying 1 DON and resting this card, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Wano card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The effect is very handy especially since we also running OP06 Momo which we need in our hand for EB01 Hiyori's effect.

OP06 Hiyori is not as important in this build anymore because we are running lack of trigger cards to make use of trigger effects. But she is a Wano card which means we can search her out using OP01 Momo's effect. The effect works on play, you may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life to your hand, add 1 card from your hand to top of your Life.

OP06 Momo is a Blocker with an on play effect, add 1 Wano Character other than Momo to the top or bottom of the owner's Life face up. This is just Life gain, and since most of our Wano Characters have low power, we can put those cards to the Life area so we could trigger their on play effects if they managed to be in our hand.

Then, the last an obvious card from OP07 set, Otama. Otama is one of the standard searchers for these type of decks, Momo is an activate main whilst Otama works on play. Look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 green Wano card other than Otama and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom in any order. The downside is that we can only look for specific green cards and some Wano cards are yellow, so if you want to add those to hand, you will need to use Momo who can search for any Wano cards.

Trigger Characters

One of the obvious choices will be OP06 Onami since Onami's effect works amazing with Yamato Leader, but not only that her trigger effect will also come in handy if we can't use the on play effect. The on play effect is 1 of your Leader/Characters gains Banish. Banish with Double Attack means your opponents will be trashing 2 of their Life cards instead of 1, and if they decided to defend, they will be needing a few counters or use 1 of their Blockers. The Trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. We can use OP06 Hiyori to put Onami to Life if we want to remove a Character.

OP06 Cat Viper is optional in the build, personally, I prefer to use him so we can wipe out any Blockers your opponents have on the field. You will need to attach 2 DONs to him for the effect to work, this shouldn't be difficult as we've got Yamato Leader who can give 2 rested DONs to your Characters. This Character can also attack your opponent's active Characters. The trigger effect is if your opponents have 3 or less Life, play this card. This shouldn't be too difficult if we can make Yamato hit with the Double Attack.

Events

Now we have 2 cards and the only 2 Events you mainly need in this build. You can be my Samurai is like Pot of Greed, but you will need to rest 2 Characters to draw 2 cards. There are plenty of choices to choose from especially since we have a lot of 0 power Characters like Otama and both Hiyoris. If you combine with EB01 Hiyori, you could play this card to rest EB01 Hiyori, then use EB01 Hiyori to play a 5 cost or less Wano Character, therefor you will only have 1 rested Character on the field.

Who Should Disappear is a 0 cost Event Counter and the counter effect is just like any colours. You may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Character gains 3k power this battle. The trigger effect is if your Life is 0, you may the top card of your deck to top of the Life, then trash 1 card from your hand. This effect is not bad if we are low of Life cards.

Zoro

Lastly I am running OP06 Zoro, now you can keep Kid and Hody in the build as the high cost Characters and replace Zoro with another card, but Zoro can go for the final push for game if we can get this to the field. Zoro have 2 effects, the first effect works when attacking, by paying 1 DON, untap this Character.

The second effect is an activate main effect, by paying 2 DONs, untap this Character. So basically we can do 3 attacks in one turn with Zoro, and Yamato Leader can attach 2 rested DONs onto Zoro, so he will become a 11k beat stick already, plus your other DONs to give Zoro more power. But this is only if your opponents doesn't have multiple Blockers to block Zoro attacks. You could play Hody to rest those Blockers and allow Zoro to swing comfortably.

Deck List

OP07 Yamato

Explanation

So for this build, we want Yamato to at least hit once to reduce your opponent's Life down to 3 so we can trigger Yamato Leader's effect which is attaching 2 rested DONs to your Characters. This effect will make a huge difference as we will be able to give our Characters more power, especially with certain Characters who need DONs to work. Otherwise, the deck build is similar to EB01 version, but I've added more draw power to get the cards on top having the 2 Wano searchers.

The deck is built to use the high cost Characters like Kid, Hody and Zoro. The Wano Characters acts like a support for those cards. If we can get Kid on the field, your opponents will need plenty of power, especially to get through the hand size we got from draw and search effects. Then, we could play Hody or Zoro to go for the push for game. We kinda rely on Yamato, so if you want Yamato to hit, we need to give her a few DONs to hit over the number.
