OP07 Red/Purple (Law) Deck Profile

What's fun for Law players is that he still have useful support in OP08, in fact OP08 set, we can easily replace some of the cards in the current build to make it better. Currently, just like any other purple decks, we've only got 1 upgrade, but that 1 new card makes a difference especially when we combined with Law's effect easily getting low DONs than your opponents.

Power Reducers

To start off, we will be talking about the power reducers. These will be very important to the deck because they can help Law Leader to remove your opponent's Characters. OP01 Otama works on play, reduce 1 of your opponent's Characters power by 2k this turn. 2k is not a lot, but it will be enough to reduce that Character down to 3k power so we can use Law's effect. Plus she has 2k counter we can use if we can't play her to the field.

Max and Gordon have the exact same effect, both have activate main effect, and both don't have any counters, but we do want to play them to the field, ready to use their effects. The effect is you may place this Character to the bottom of the owner's deck, reduce 1 of your opponent's Character power by 3k this turn. 3k means we can target your opponent's 6k beat stick which is a lot better than Otama who have to target 5k or less power.

Ramp

Another key part we need is ramp, because Law Leader returns at least 3 DONs back to deck, so we need cards that can recover the returned DONs with ease. EB01 Bon Clay have 2 effects, the first effect works on play, add 1 DON as active, very simple effect, but what I'm mainly focusing is the second effect. The second effect works when attacking, select one of your opponent's Characters. This Character base power becomes the same as the selected Character, so the bigger the power, the better Bon Clay can swing.

ST05 Ain has a simple on play effect, add 1 DON as rest. Both Bon Clay and Ain will most likely be removed when OP08 comes out in English, because OP08 got better ramp cards that can be used instead of these 2 cards. It will be very bad already if people spent money on Bon Clay when he became irrelevant in Law build very quick. I don't know about other builds though.

Shachi & Penguin is still one of our key ramp cards as they works the best when we have low DONs which is easy to do in a Law deck. The effect works on play, if you have 3 or less DONs, add up to 2 DONs as rest. I know the effect says add up to 2, but I don't know why you wouldn't want to add the maximum considering you need DONs to play cards.

ST10 Bepo has a nice effect as he works on play/when attacking. If your opponents have more DONs on their field than you, add 1 DON as rest. Most likely,  we will always have less DONs than your opponents, so we could ramp as much as possible as long as Bepo is on the field. The only way to stop Bepo's effect is that your opponents are also playing decks that returns plenty of DONs back to deck.

Rush

Rush Characters can also be very important in this build as we focus on spamming Characters, preparing to attack your opponents in one swoop. But with Rush, we can attack as soon as they stay on the field. OP01 Zoro only have Rush but only cost you 3 DONs to play which is the same amount of DONs you can return for Law's effect to play another Character. EB01 Kid & Killer not only has Rush ability but also when attacking, if your opponents have 2 or less Life, this Character gains 2k power. I don't think it will be too difficult to get your opponent's Life down to 2, so we will have a 7k beat stick when we swing.

Draw Power

What I like about these cards is that they actually increase your hand size and not just a hand filter effect. 4 drop Reiju works on play, if the number of DONs on your field is equal to or less than your opponents and you have 5 or less cards in your hand, draw 2 cards. Reiju is perfect in this build as we can burn our hand very quick since we play at least 2 Characters per turn, not including the use of counters, plus Law also return DONs back to deck, so we would always have less DONs than our opponents, unless your opponents are also playing decks that return DONs.

ST04 Queen is a Blocker with an on play effect, by returning 1 DON, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. He is a 6k Blocker, but I think it might be difficult to play 5 costs in this build as Queen will not be playing first if we have OP05 Kid in hand. He is more like just in case we don't have Kid since he can draw as well as being a 6k Blocker to stop 1 of your opponent's attacks.

Blockers

Now we got Blockers to stop your opponent's attacks, but they also have additional effects on top of being a Blocker. OP05 Kid has an effect that works on your turn and only once per turn, when a DON on your field is returned to your DON deck, add 1 DON as active. This will help to reduce Law's effect down to 2 DONs, well you gain 1 DON back, so we won't lose 3 DONs per turn which is a hefty cost.

Shuraiya works when attacking/on block, this Character becomes the same power as your opponent's Leader until the start of your next turn. So if your opponents decided to give more power to their Leaders, then Shuraiya will gain more power. So we can use Shuraiya as an attacker if we have plenty of Blockers on the field already.

OP07 Sanji works great in decks that returns plenty of DONs. He is the only high cost in the deck, but don't get fool by needing 6 DONs to play, because you won't. The effect is if your number of DONs is at least 2 less than your opponents, reduce this card's cost by 3. So we will be playing Sanji for 3 instead of needing 6 to play which is not bad for a 6k Blocker.

ST10 Law works on play, by returning 1 DON, if your opponents have 7 or more cards in their hand, trash 2 cards from their hand. This effect is very situational, but if you can pull this off, then it will be great. But he does cost you a DON, and it may not be as useful if we also want to use Law Leader effect at the same time.

Explanation

I've kept the same as EB01 version where we focus on solely on Characters since the more Characters we can play the better. Although I do think we may need more cost reducers in the build like Promo Law, but maybe in the next build where we can take out ramp cards. We don't want to rush spamming Law Leader's effect to play Characters as we could run out of DONs before we could ramp the DONs back up to play the high cost Characters which are the 5 drops and not Sanji. Sanji is when we have low DONs so we can play him for 3.
