Will One Piece Follows Digimon Schedule?

I personally think One Piece should follow this kind of schedule from Digimon. Catching up to the sets and have simultaneous release, so us ENG format players doesn't have to wait 2-3 sets just to play the decks we want. Plus on the bright side, the cards will not have a price jump if we don't know what will the JP meta looks like.

Who knows? Both games are from Bandai, and I really hope One Piece will follow suit, because I like this kind of release. It will be both new for JP and ENG formats, but I know Digimon ENG format has a slightly different meta compare to JP Format unlike One Piece. So I will be looking forward to play Digimon more at the end of the year.

Now it is just One Piece left who doesn't have simultaneous release schedule. We can ignore BSS (Battle Spirit Saga) as BSS is technically different to BS when it coms to game mechanic. Plus BS has been out for a long time, so there's just too many sets and for Bandai to catch up, BSS will need a crazy release schedule. I doubt that will happen for a long time. One Piece is still possible with the game only being 2-3 sets behind, so it is quite easy to catch up with the JP format if Bandai pull something similar to Digimon.

Looking at the special booster, looks like they had to split BT19 up in order to fit all the cards we need and catch up to the JP Format. Honestly, this is the exact same as when Digimon first came out. I think we got 3 sets in 2 booster sets. But during that time, they were pretty much scalper pricing, so I didn't get into the game until BT4. That's when the game became so much cheaper, but I can't say its cheap now, unless you are not chasing the expensive cards.
