EB01 Green/Blue (Rosinante) Deck Profile

No idea if I can call this an update, but I guess this deck have changed compare to my previous build so we can utilise more defensive for this build. Personally, I have no idea if this is a good thing going defensive, since mainly these type of games it is better to go aggressive against your opponents. But unfortunately, some decks are built this way, so it is up to the player to see what kind of deck they like.

Resting

For our rest Characters, we are not using much in the build, so we will mostly will have to rely on our opponent's attacks to have rested Characters. OP01 Izo works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. This effect is very simple and we could potentially rest 4 cost Blockers to stop your opponent's attacks. Plus he has 2k counter, so even if you don't plan on playing Izo, that 2k counter will be useful during the counter step.

Sugar is one of the key cards in this build as she has 2 effects. The first effect works during your opponent's turn. When your opponent plays a Character, if your Leader is Donquixote Pirates type, rest 1 of your opponent's Characters. Then, rest this Character. What I like about this effect is that we can rest any Characters and not just the Character your opponent played this turn, so it makes your opponent think which Characters they would play first to make Sugar use the first effect. The second effect is exactly the same as OP01 Izo. On play, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. Not as important as the first effect, but we can still pull off cheap rest, so we could attack those Characters.

Untapping

We have 2 Characters who can untap stuff, well 1 of them is a restand card. Diamante is a Blocker with an effect that works at the end of your turn, however, you will need to attach a DON to Diamante for this effect to work. If you have 2 or more active DONs, untap this Character. This effect is very useful as we could use Diamante as a 7k beat stick on our turn, and a 6k Blocker on your opponent's turn, perfect for both attacking and defending. It won't be too difficult to have active DONs on the field as we will need them for our Event Counters in the build.

OP04 Baby 5 is also one of the cards who can give you active DONs. Just like Diamante, Baby 5's effect work at the end of your turn. You may trash this Character to untap 2 DONs. The untapping 2 DONs will definitely come in handy for cards like Diamante, plus we can go all out with our DONs and not worrying about leaving active DONs for other cards.

Removals

We have 2 different removals for this build, one who removes your opponent's Characters whilst the other remove your opponent's hand. OP01 Drake works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less rested Characters. Unfortunately for a 5 drop, we can only KO 4 cost rested Characters, but in return we do have a 6k beat stick, plus he is a 5 drop so we can play him for free using OP04 Corazon's effect.

OP06 Pudding is great against decks where your opponent uses a lot of searchers to gain a massive hand, or draw power cards. The effect works on play, your opponent returns all cards from their hand to their deck and shuffles their deck. Then, your opponent draws 5 cards. The bigger the hand size, the more deadlier Pudding becomes, but if your opponents don't have a large hand size, then Pudding is useless as there is no point giving your opponents an increase hand size.

Free Play

We have 3 cards who can let us play Characters for free. OP01 Law is a Blocker with an on play effect. You may return 1 Character from your hand to play one 3 cost or less Character from your hand. What I like about this effect is that it is not colour restricted, so we can choose our blue Characters rather than just green. This is helpful as we could return OP06 Pudding to our hand to reuse her effect again if your opponent decided to gain a large hand size again.

OP01 Kid have 2 effects. The first effect works on your opponent's turn just like Sugar, however, you will need to attach a DON to him for this effect to work. If this Character is rested, your opponent cannot attack any other cards other than  the Character Kid. This will force your opponents to attack Kid only so you won't need to worry about your other cards. You can use counters/blockers to protect Kid so it forces your opponents to use more DONs just to power up their Characters. The second effect is an activate main effect. You may rest this Character to play one 3 cost or less Character from your hand. Just like Law, he is not colour restricted, so we can play our blue Characters with this effect. What's more is that we can instantly trigger Kid's first effect right of the bat, as long as we can attach an extra DON to Kid.

OP04 Corazon also have 2 effects, and just like Kid, the first effect works on your opponent's turn. If this Character is rested, your active 5 costs base cannot be KO'd by effects. Again, just like Kid, we need Corazon rested for the effect to work, but unlike Kid, we don't need an extra DON, so we can play Corazon right away once we reached 8 DONs. Most of our 5 cost base are Blockers, so thanks to Corazon, it forces your opponents to choose something else instead. The second effect works on play, you may rest this Character to play 1 green 5 cost Character from your hand. I guess unlike Kid and Law, we are colour restricted with this effect, but all of our 5 cost are green. And just like Kid, this on play effect can trigger the first effect right of the bat without the need to attack your opponents, so we can get around summon sickness.

Searchers

We have 2 cards who can search for Donquixote Pirates cards, but we need to maintain a hand size of 6 or less in order to use Corazon Leader's effect. OP05 Baby 5 has an activate main effect. By paying 1 DON, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Donquixote Pirates card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. I guess the good part about this effect is that she can search herself unlike the searchers that work on play.

Off White on the other hand is a 2 drop Counter, we will be having some 2 DONs left thanks to OP04 Baby 5 and Diamante's effects, so this will make room to use this counter against your opponents. The counter effect is 1 of your Leader/Characters gains 4k power this battle. Then, look at the top 3 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Donquixote Pirates Character and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The downside to this effect is that we can only look for character cards rather than any cards unlike OP05 Baby 5, and we only look at top 3 cards instead of 5.

Defences

Ironically, the 2 brothers are Blockers but different colour. OP01 Doffy works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck and place them on top or bottom of your deck in any order. This effect can help to set up Off White, so we could add a Donquixote Pirates Character to our hand instead of being a luck base search. We are running a high number of Donquixote Pirates Characters, but we can wiff with Off White search unlike OP05 Baby 5. Plus we can play Doffy using either Law or Kid's effect as he is a 3 cost Character.

OP05 Corazon is pretty much like his OP04 counter part. We are still protecting our Characters because that is what Corazon do as a Character. The effect works on your opponent's turn. If your rested Character would be KO'd, you may trash 1 this Character instead. Thanks to this effect, we could protect OP01 Kid from being KO'd by effects, making it more annoying for your opponents.

Lastly we got the 0 cost Counter for green, but also its a Donquixote Pirates card so we could search it out using OP05 Baby 5's effect. The counter effect is the same as any other 0 cost Counter from different colours. You may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Character gains 3k power this battle. The Trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters, a nice rest effect to stop your opponents from attacking.

Deck List

EB01 Corazon

Explanation

I've kept the build simple and focus more on the defensive side, so we will need to rely on our big drops and some of our 5 cost Characters to attack your opponents. What I do like about Corazon Leader is that we can also protect our Characters from getting KO by letting him take the hit instead, so if you could get OP01 Kid on the field, it will be really annoying for your opponent to remove. Getting 2 drop Corazon will add double the protection as long as you've also got the Life.

You do want to maintain 6 or less cards in hand otherwise, you won't be able to untap Corazon Leader and use the Blocker ability. This will also means you will need to use counters early, so you won't lose too many Life early turn and can save them for Corazon Blocker. It is another defensive deck where you will need to play with a defensive mindset, but you will also need to minimise the number of your opponent's Characters, so they won't be able to do as many attacks until you get OP01 Kid in play.
