BT16 Blue (UlforceVeedramon (BT2)) Deck Profile

We know by now Bandai plays favouritism with Veemon line, blue/green Imperialdramon got the most support out of all the Veemon line out there, and for me who likes Ulforce, this is frustrating that we get lack of support. We all know BT11 Ulforce is the main, which is why I've decided to post BT2 version of Ulforce, making the use of multi attacks, but the downside to this card is getting the tamers on the field. I could combine this with BT12 Ulforce, but then it will just becomes BT11 Ulforce with BT2 in the deck. I will be posting 2 different deck builds using BT2 Ulforce.

Unsuspending

The more we can unsuspend, the more attacks we can do in one turn, and for BT2 Ulforce, this is very important, especially when we want to finish off your opponents. Blitz Omnimon can be very handy especially when we need that final attack to finish off your opponents. Blitz Omnimon have 3 effects, the first two effects works when digivolve, Blitz and unsuspend this Digimon, so we could provide the final attack. The last effect works all turn, when an opponent's effect would delete this Digimon or return it to the hand or deck, by trashing 1 Lv6 Digimon in this Digimon's digi source, prevent it from leaving play. You will barely be able to use the last effect as we are more focused on the when digivolving effect to finish off your opponents.

BT2 Ulforce is the main Digimon of the deck, so the deck is built around this card alone. Ulforce have 2 effects, both works during your turn. The first effect is when one of your blue Tamers becomes suspended, unsuspend this Digimon. This effect is not once per turn, so as long as you can suspend Tamers, you will be able to spam this effect and attack as much as possible. The second effect works once per turn, when this Digimon becomes unsuspended during your main phase, gain 1 memory. This shouldn't be too hard as long as we can unsuspend Ulforce with Tamers.

UlforceX doesn't really work well with BT2 Ulforce, as it not meant to be designed for BT2, but for BT11 Ulforce instead. You get to digivolve on top of Ulforce for 1 memory, then we have 2 different effects. The first effect works when digivolving, unsuspend this Digimon or 1 of your blue Tamers. So I guess if you couldn't finish off your opponents with BT2 Ulforce, then you can play UlforceX for the final attack. The second effect works all turn, when this Digimon becomes unsuspended, if you have a blue Tamer in play or this Digimon has Ulforce in the digi source, return 1 of your opponent's Digimon with the lowest level to its owner's hand. What I like about this effect is that this can work at the start of your turn as we will be unsuspending everything, but we can only return the lowest levels, so you may need to get rid of the low levels first so UlforceX can target your opponent's high levels.

Only one of the build will be running the latest BT16 MagnaX in the build. There will be 2 different ways we could digivolve into MagnaX, either digivolve on top of a 2 colour Magnamon in its name for 5 memory, or we can digivolve the normal way for 4 memory. Either way, it will be very handy and provide a nice back up for BT2 Ulforce if we can't get it working. MagnaX have Blocker and Armor Purge with 2 effects. The first effect works when digivolving if MagnaX or an Armor Form trait is in this Digimon's digi source, until the end of your opponent's turn, this Digimon gains 3k DP and cannot be affected by your opponent's effects, then unsuspend this Digimon. What I like about this effect is that no effects will be able to affect MagnaX unlike Ulforce. The second effect works all turns. Once per turn, when a card is removed from a security stack, you may activate 1 of this Digimon's when digivolving effect. The security stack doesn't have to be your opponents, but yours as well, allowing us to unsuspend MagnaX and use it for attack or for blocking depending on what you need.

BT2 AeroVee works best with BT2 Ulforce, however, the main effect can be really useful for both Ulforce and MagnaX. The main effect works when digivolving, if you have a blue Tamer in play, unsuspend 1 of your blue Digimon. This will allow us to create extra attacks, especially with MagnaX who will be having deadly power. The inherited effect is the key part to BT2 Ulforce, when this Digimon becomes unsuspended during the main phase, it gains Jamming. Thanks to Jamming we won't need to worry about security Digimons, only security effects that could remove Ulforce.

Memory Ramp

So the more we can ramp, the easier we can get BT2 Ulforce on the field as well as playing Tamers to get their suspending effects going. EX1 Veemon only has an inherited effect, when this Digimon becomes unsuspended during your main phase, gain 1 memory. This is exact same as BT2 Ulforce effect, so if we can trigger these 2 effects, we could gain 2 memory per turn allowing us to play other cards with more memory.

Sora & Joe is a nice Tamer to have for BT2 Ulforce. Sora & Joe have 2 effects, the first effect works at the start of your turn, if your opponent has a Digimon with no digi sources, gain 2 memory. So if your opponents want to hard play Digimons, we would be able to gain 2 memory with ease. The second effect is when of your blue Digimon attacks, by suspending this Tamer, trash up to 2 bottom digi sources from one of your opponent's Digimon. This would help to trigger Sora & Joe first effect, so we don't need to wait for your opponents to hard play Digimon for the ramp. The security effect is play this card without paying the memory cost.

BT16 Davis & Ken is nice to have in the build as they can help you gain memory when you digivolve. The first effect works at the start of your main phase, you may play 1 Veemon/Wormmon from your hand without paying the cost. At the end of your opponent's turn, return it to the hand. We've only got Veemons in this build, but this can help us spam the board. The second effect is when one of your Digimon digivolves into a blue or green Digimon, by suspending this Tamer, gain 1 memory. We are only aiming for this effect, the rest of the effect works when DNA digivolving which this deck doesn't have. The security effect is play this card without paying the memory cost.

Searchers

We have plenty of searchers to search out the Digimon and Tamers for the deck. BT11 Veemon works on play, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck, add 1 Digimon with Veedramon in its name and 1 blue Tamer among them to your hand. Place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. We can use BT16 Davis & Ken to spam this BT11 Veemon as we mainly want the main phase effect to add cards to our hand. The inherited effect is when you play a blue Tamer, gain 1 memory. This can help to reduce the cost of our Tamers.

Mental Training is an amazing card for this Ulforce build because of the search effect, however, if you can add Blue Memory Boost in the build, then I would recommend that card as we need to hard play Tamers to the field to trigger BT2 Ulforce's effect. The main effect is reveal the top 2 cards of your deck, add 1 blue card among them to your hand. Place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Then, place this card in your battle area. What I like about this card is that we can search for any blue cards we see, even Mental Training. The second effect is a delay effect, 1 of your Digimon may digivolve into a blue Digimon from your hand with the digi cost reduced by 2. This is important as we want to get BT2 Ulforce on the field as soon as possible. The security effect is place this card in the battle area.

BT2 Rina works very well with BT2 Ulforce. Rina have 2 effects, when one of your blue Digimon attacks, you may suspend this Tamer to give that Digimon 1k DP for the turn. This effect is not Vee specific, so we can use this effect on our other Digimon so they could hit a decent number. The second effect works on play, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck, add 1 Digimon with Vee in its name among them to your hand. Place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Rina only search for Vee specific Digimon, but we are running plenty in both of our builds. The security effect is play this card without paying the memory cost.

BT3 Davis is a memory setter with an on play effect. Reveal the top 3 cards of your deck, add 1 blue and 1 green Digimon among them to your hand. Place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Obviously, we are not running any green Digimon in the build unless you want to add Lighdramon to the build as Lighdramon is an Armor Form Digimon to help to trigger MagnaX's effect. The security effect is play this card without paying the memory cost.

Draw Power

We have a few draw power cards to draw into the cards we need for the build. ST8 Veemon's main effect only works if your opponent has a Lv6 or higher Digimon. If your opponent has a Lv6 or higher Digimon, this Digimon can digivolve into Ulforce from your hand ignoring the digi cost for 4 memory. We can skip some step, but Ulforce won't be gaining any Jamming ability to prevent him from being deleted by Security Digimon. The inherited effect works when attacking, if you have 7 or less cards in your hand, draw 1 card. This effect is not once per turn, so as long as you have low hand size and can unsuspend with Ulforce, you will be doing plenty of attacks.

BT11 Veedramon is nice to have but only one of the builds use Veedramon. The main effect is when you play a blue Tamer, draw 1 card. This effect is only once per turn though, but we would only have enough memory to play 1 Tamer at a time, if you are desperate for the draw. The inherited effect is when you play a blue Tamer, gain 1 memory. This is the exact same as BT11 Veemon, so if you can get these 2 as the inherited effect, you will be gaining 2 memory when you play a Tamer on the field. But do note that this is only once per turn.

Tai V Tamer is a nice 2 cost Tamer we can play instead of playing 3 cost Rina. The main effect gives you 2 choices. If you have a Digimon with Veedramon in its name, by suspending this Tamer, activate 1 of the following effect, either draw 1 card or 1 of your Digimon gains 1k DP for the turn. The disappointing side is that we need to have Veedramon in play for this effect to work unlike Rina who can work with any of your blue Digimon. The security effect is play this card without paying the memory cost.

Armor Form

Now we've got the Armor Form Digimon who can digivolve from Veemon, but we need these cards in order to trigger MagnaX's effect. Both of the builds will be using ST17 Magnamon as the effect is very useful to have in the build. You can digivolve on top of Veemon for 3 instead of paying the full 4 cost. We also got a security effect when you can De-Digivolve 1 Digimon. At the end of the battle, 1 of your Digimon may digivolve into this card without paying the cost. Then we have Blocker and Armor Purge keyword with a when digivolving effect. The effect is trash the top digi source of 1 of your opponent's Digimon for each of that Digimon's colours. Then, return 1 of your opponent's Digimon with no digi sources to the hand. This effect works very well with Sora & Joe as Sora & Joe will be trashing your opponent's digi sources so they won't be able to use any inherited effects.

GoldVeedramon can be digivolve on top of Veemon for 2 which is cheaper than Magnamon's digivolving cost. We got Armor Purge and a when digivolving effect, 1 of your opponent's Digimon loses 2k DP for the turn. Then, if you have a blue or yellow Tamer in play, or if you have a Armor Form trait in your trash, 1 of your opponent's Digimon with 6k DP or less cannot attack or block until the end of your opponent's turn. We can only target low DP Digimon as we don't have any cards who can reduce your opponent's Digimon DP to target their high level Digimon. But at least we could slow down your opponents from rushing or using any Blocker for one turn from Ulforce attack.

Jamming

Lastly, we've got the two Jamming Digimon so we don't care about Security Digimon deleting these cards. Lanamon is a hybrid and can be digivolve on top of Calmaramon for 0 cost, but we are not running any Calmaramon. We have 2 effects for Lanamon, the first effect is that this Digimon can be digivolve from your hand on top of a blue Tamer for 2 memory. For a heavy Tamer deck like Ulforce, having these cards can be very handy to push for extra attacks. The second effect works when digivolving, by placing 1 lv3 Digimon from your hand under 1 of your Digimon as the bottom digi source, this Digimon gains Jamming. Now we could attack with Lanamon, then digivolve on top of BT2 AeroVee for 3 memory, and AeroVee's main effect will be able to unsuspend itself, creating another attack, or prevent your opponent's attack from attacking AeroVee, so we could set up BT2 Ulforce on our next turn.

ST8 AeroVee is a Digimon I like especially in one of the build, we can make the full use of the main effect. The main effect is just Jamming, so we swing with AeroVee, then digivolve into MagnaX's triggering the when digivolving effect to unsuspend itself, and attack again without the need of worrying about security effects thanks to MagnaX protection. Then, we can unsuspend MagnaX once we hit the security and attack again, doing three attacks in one turn. The inherited effect is while you have 8 or more cards in hand, this Digimon gains Security Attack +1. This is very easy to do thanks to the number of draw power and searchers in the build, but what's more we could end up finishing off your opponents with 3-4 attacks instead of doing 6 attacks if you are aiming for the OTK. But you will need to cross your fingers and hope your opponents don't have any high DP security Digimon or security effects to remove your Digimon.

How it Works

Two very different deck builds, one who have a back up strategy in case BT2 Ulforce fails, whilst the other focus on BT2 Ulforce alone. Personally I like UlforceMagnaX more than Ulforce as being able to rotate different Digimon makes it easier to attack. Both decks will heavily rely on Tamers, maybe not the build with MagnaX as if we can get Armor Form in the digi source, we will be pretty much set on using MagnaX's effect. We also got Blitz Omnimon in the build, so if we don't manage to finish off your opponents with either Ulforce or MagnaX, we can play Blitz Omnimon to deal the final damage.

For the Ulforce build, we are mainly relying one 1 card and that is BT2 Ulforce, so once removed, we be in a pinch unlike UlforceMagnaX build. All you need to ensure is either OTK with BT2 Ulforce, so your opponents won't be able to survive, or make sure Ulforce is unsuspended, so your opponents won't be able to target Ulforce, unless they have suspend or Collision effects.

If your opponents have a high DP Blocker, we can ignore Ulforce's effect and focused on powering up the Digimon instead to hit over that DP. We don't have the removal effects like BT11 Ulforce which is the downside, so instead, we will need to rely on attacking your opponent's suspended Digimon so they can't go wide, we also got Magnamon in both deck who could De-Digivolve your opponent's Digimon.
