EB01 Blue/Yellow (Queen) Deck Profile

There's not much of an update for this kind of build. I've only added 1 card from the EB01 set as our main aim is to go ultra defensive with this deck, dragging the match until you can set up Queen Leader's effect to start spamming the Life gain ability as well as hitting our Trigger effects in the Life area. I don't think it would be a huge update compare to OP06 version because, that 1 card from EB01 set is  not as important as the cards already this build. It can provide a niche situation support, but there are ways to get around that card.

Checking the Top Cards

We have 3 Characters that are Blockers, but they also helps you check the top cards of the deck. Both OP01 Doffy and OP05 Drake have the exact same effect. On play, look at top 5 cards of your deck and place them at the top or bottom of your deck in any order. This will be important especially when you want to get Trigger effects when you use Queen's effect, and draw the non Trigger effect cards.

Duval on the other hand only look at the top 3 cards of your deck, but being a Blocker will be helpful in this build to stall as long as possible. On play, look at top 3 cards and place them at the top or bottom of your deck in any order. 3 is not a lot as you hit Queen's effect, then draw the next card which is already 2 cards, meaning you will only know the last card that could be a Trigger effect for Queen. However, this is a definitely a nice back up if you don't draw Doffy or Drake to check the top cards.

8 Cost or More Characters

Well in order to trigger Queen's effect, we definitely need these cards in the build. We can play these cards as long as we've got Blockers on the field to stop our opponent's attacks. OP01 Mihawk works on play, place one 7 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. You can choose your own Characters but I wouldn't recommend that unless you are decking out.

OP03 Katakuri also works on play, place one 8 cost or less Character to the top or bottom of the owner's Life area face up. Now unlike OP01 Mihawk, we can choose our own Characters with Katakuri if we want to trigger some Trigger effects for that Character, plus we also gain an extra Life to survive 1 more attack on top of Queen's effect. This really depends on the situation and how desperate you need to choose your own cards, otherwise, we can just target our opponent's big drop Characters, especially Blockers.

OP04 Yamato works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's Characters with a cost equal or less than the total of Life in both player's Life area. Then, if you have 1 or less Life, add 1 card from top of your deck to top of your Life. We mainly won't be attacking a lot until we can get our big drops onto the field to trigger some effects, so your opponents would mainly have plenty of Life cards for Yamato to choose high cost Characters. Plus that extra Life gain is very helpful as combining with Queen's effect, we could potential gain 2 Life cards in 1 turn.

OP06 Sanji is one of our key cards in this build simply because we are running plenty of checking the top cards Characters, so Sanji revealing the top card of your deck won't be random. On play, reveal 1 card from top of your deck and play up to one 9 cost or less Character other than Sanji. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck. We can literally play any Characters in this deck as we are not running any 10 drop Characters, so what we want to do is play our high cost Characters for free using Sanji's effect. Mihawk and Katakuri will benefit the removal, whilst Yamato will have removal, but the Life gain effect if you have less Life, so you don't have to wait until next turn to play those cards. Plus you will also have Characters ready to attack on your next turn.

The Life Area

We have these two cards who can gain Life or modify your Life area so you can hit Trigger effects with ease. EB01 Shirahoshi is a 2 drop Blocker, which is nice to strengthen our defences in this deck, with an additional effect. The effect is a continuous effect, when this Character is KO'd by your opponent's effect, add 1 card from top of your deck to top of your Life. This will also restrict your opponents selection when it comes to KOing Characters, as if they KO Shirahoshi, we will be able to gain an extra Life, but if they don't, we will have a Blocker to stop an attack. Either way I think this is a win win situation. But again, like some protection from KO cards, there are ways to get around this effect.

Some cards will be useless in our hand if we don't trigger their Trigger effects, and with OP06 Hiyori in the build, we can easily place those cards in the Life area instead. The effect works on play, add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life to your hand. Add 1 card from your hand to the top of your Life. We just only hope that we won't add another Trigger effect card into our hand, because that would be a pain if we did, and would have to put that card back to the Life area again.

Removals

The high cost Characters aren't the only cards who can remove your opponent's Characters, we also have these 3 cards. OP06 Onami's removal effect is the Trigger effect which is why I am running her in the build. The on play effect is 1 of your Leader/Characters gains Banish. This is not as important as I don't really care about the Banish ability. What I mainly want is the Trigger effect which is KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. Thanks to this effect, we could potentially stop one of your opponent's attacks and reduce their boards.

Red Roc is an Event that can remove any Characters we want. The main effect is place 1 Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. This is up to you of when you would use this card as we have Mihawk and Katakuri who could also remove your opponent's high cost Characters. But Red Roc could help to remove 9-10 Characters if your opponents are running them in their decks. The Trigger effect is place one 4 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. This is okay as just like Onami we could potentially stop one of your opponent's attacks and reducer their boards.

Raging Tiger is an Event that mainly targets your opponent's wide board instead of just 1 Character like Red Roc. The main effect is place two 6 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck in any order. 6 cost or less is still handy especially when we could potentially stop 2 attacks from hitting the Leader, so we won't need to use Counters in our hand. Or we could use this on your opponent's Blockers so we can force your opponents to use counters when our high cost Characters attacks. The Trigger effect is basically like Onami, but instead of KO effect, you return that Character instead. Place one 5 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.

Defences

Now we have some cards that focus more on stopping your opponent's attacks e.g. Blockers and counter cards. OP04 Bege is in the deck for the Trigger effect as he is useless if we play him on the field. The trigger effect is 1 of your opponent's Leader/Characters cannot attack this turn. I guess this acts like a Blocker where we could stop one of your opponent's attacks.

OP04 Sanji is a Blocker with a Trigger effect. You may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. We need low hand size in the first place because of Queen's effect in add the total of cards in hand and Life area, especially when you have high cost Characters in your hand which you can't use until mid/late turns.

ST03 Hancock and ST07 Brulee has the exact same effect just different colours. Both are Blockers with a Trigger effect, play this card. The only problem I find with these two cards is that they are 1k Blockers, so if your opponents have low power removals, they can easily remove these cards from the field, which is why I have OP04 Sanji as a back up.

Finally the last card which is important for this build, the 0 cost Event Counter for Yellow. The counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader/Character gains 3k power this battle. Now just like OP04 Sanji, the trashing from hand will really help to trigger Queen's effect, especially when we can't use some cards for counter power. The Trigger effect is if you have 0 Life, you may add 1 card from top of your deck to top of your Life. Then, trash 1 card from your hand. This is not difficult to do especially when we have cards who can check the top cards of your deck, and Queen who can put this card to the Life area.

EB01 Queen

Explanation

There's a lot of cards I've tried to cramp into one deck, and I quite like this line up of cards in the build, I feel each one of them have their own role in the build. The first priority is definitely playing Blockers as soon as possible as we don't want to take Life with Queen build until we can get our 8 cost or more onto the field to trigger Queen's effect and start to do Life gain. You will also need to rely on checking the top cards Characters so you know which cards will be the Trigger effects and which cards you can draw into your hand.

I know Queen can attack as a Leader, but it really depends on the type of match up you are against. We want to stall as much as possible until we can get big drop Characters on the field, so attacking with Queen can give more cards for your opponents to choose from. But attacking your opponent's Characters will be fine, just not the Leader. Of course, if they are playing decks like WB, we want to attack their Leader as Whitebeard Leader whither down their Life, so we could force some counters from their hand.
