OP07 Green/Black (Perona) Deck Profile

There's not much upgrades for Perona deck, but I've completely changed the engine so we could use the new supports for this build. The deck is using Wano based but with some black supports. But the black supports are mainly just to help the deck especially with some of the Wano cards we want to pull off.

Cost Reducers

We have plenty of cost reducers where we could rest your opponent's low cost Characters with Perona's effect. OP02 Tsuru works on play, reduce 1 of your opponent's Characters cost by 2 this turn. A nice 1 drop where we can reduce up to 6 cost Character down to 4 or less so we could rest that Character using Perona's effect.

Toy Soldier has an activate main effect, so we could wait until your opponents to play a Character then use Toy Soldier effect to reduce that Character cost. The effect is you may trash this Character to reduce 1 of your opponent's Characters cost by 3 this turn.

ST06 Helmeppo have the same effect as Toy Soldier except, he works on play instead of activate main and you will not need to trash Helmeppo to work. The effect is reduce 1 of your opponent's Characters cost by 3 this turn. Another difference is that Toy Soldier have a 2k counter whilst Helmeppo only has 1k counter.

Ice Age is a nice Event to have to target your opponent's high cost Characters. The main effect is reduce 1 of your opponent's Characters cost by 5 this turn. 5 is a lot especially when we could even get 9 cost Characters down to 4, then rest that Character with Perona's effect. The trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Characters. This is optional as we mainly aim for the main effect unless your opponent's low cost Characters are beat sticks.

Removals

There's not a lot of removals as we are focusing more on Perona's effect so we can attack those rested Characters, but having these can be handy. Ryuma works on play/on KO, KO 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less rested Character. On the bright side, Ryuma works really well with Perona as Perona will be able to rest 4 cost or less Characters, or we could use our cost reducers to reduce that Character down to 4 then play Ryuma to KO that Character.

OP07 Sabo works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand to KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters and one 3 cost or less Characters. So if we have some cost reducers, we could clear some of your opponent's Characters in one go. Very handy and he is not like Lucci where we need low numbers to work.

Wano Supports

The Wano supports are very random aside from the searchers. EB01 Hiyori has an activate main effect where you trash this Character to play one 5 cost or less Wano Character from your hand other than Hiyori. Then, draw 1 card. We aren't running many 5 cost or higher Character, so we will mainly be aiming for the draw power with this effect.

OP01 Izo works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. Now because we are running cost reducers, we can use the cost reducers first to reduce high cost Characters down to 4, then play Izo so we can rest those Characters and then attack those Characters with our cards.

OP01 Momo is a searcher but the effect is an activate main effect. By paying 1 DON and resting this Character, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, add 1 Wano card among them, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Momo will be the searcher who can look for any cards, but we will need to rest this Character to work.

Whilst OP07 Otama works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 green Wano card other than Otama and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Otama is a bit restricted, but luckily the only Wano cards we are running are green cards, so you shouldn't have too much a trouble to search for those cards.

You can be my Samurai is a draw power card. The main effect is rest 2 of your Characters to draw 2 cards. Now, we have plenty of 0 cost Characters with activate main effects, so we can use those Characters first, then use this Event to draw 2 cards. So in the end, we won't be having any rested Characters on the field, but you can easily replace those Characters if needed.

Black Supports

We don't have many Black supports aside from cost reducers, but I guess I can call these 3 a nice staple to have in your builds. OP02 Kizaru has an effect that works on your opponent's turn. This Character gains 1k power and can't be KO'd by your opponent's effects. Not too bad for early 4 cost Blocker which is why this card is still pricey until reprints comes.

Sabo is a different type of Blocker as the effect only works on play, none of your Characters can be KO'd by your opponent's effects until the start of your next turn. Then, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. He is better than Kizaru as Kizaru only works during your opponent's turn, whilst Sabo works on your turn, protecting against trigger effects when you attack. Come to think of it, I think Sabo is more expensive than Kizaru as Sabo is used in every builds whilst Kizaru is optional.

Another card that is used in every build is OP06 Moria. Moria's effect works on play, choose one 4 cost or less and one 2 cost or less Character from your trash. Play one as active and the other as rest. The best thing about this effect is that it is not colour restricted which makes this effect even better. There are plenty of 4 cost Characters we can choose in this build as well as your low cost Characters, it just depends on what is in your trash when you play Moria for 8 cost.

Deck List

OP07 Perona

Explanation

The deck is more focus on using Perona Leader's effect where we are able to rest your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters and KO them whether using cards like Ryuma or attacking those rested Characters. To do this, we will need to rely on cost reducers or how else we could target 4 cost or less Characters if your opponents plays high cost Characters on the field. I am using the Wano engine because we are using Ryuma as Ryuma is also a Wano Character which makes searching him from deck very easy combining with Perona's effect. Plus we also got a decent draw engine to increase our hand size.
