OP07 Green (Oden) Deck Profile

A 1 card support makes me want to revive this Oden build, although I think I've made an EB01 version of this, but with OP07, it is even better as we have more searchers. I have completely changed the build compare to EB01 version, so the deck style will be a bit different as we are focused more on Wano cards thanks to the searchers.


Resting


We don't have removals in this build, but what we do have is the ability to rest your opponent's Characters so we could attack into those cards. OP01 Izo works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. If you can't rest, you can just keep him for the 2k counter as it will come in handy.

In my opinion, OP01 Okiku works better than Izo, but the downside is that he or she does not have a counter. The effect works when attacking and you will need to attach a DON to Okiku to work. This shouldn't be too difficult thanks to Oden who can untap DONs. Rest 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. So Okiku will be swing for 6k beat stick while resting your opponent's Characters.

Although there is one card that doesn't care about Characters cost and that is Hody. Hody has Rush with an on play effect, rest up to total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs. Then, add the top card of your Life to your hand. You do lose a Life, but we are starting with 5 Life so this shouldn't affect us too much. During mid to late game, Hody will come in very handy as the Rush ability means we could attack straight away whilst resting your opponent's Characters.

Untap


Oden isn't the only card who can untap DONs as we also have OP01 Denjiro who can also untap DONs, and if you got multiple Denjiro in play, then we can untap a lot of DONs in a turn. The effect works when attacking and you need to attach him a DON for the effect to work just like Okiku. If your Leader is Oden, untap 2 of your DONs.

OP06 Zoro is a different kind of untap as he untaps himself. Zoro have 2 effects, the first effect works when attacking, by paying 1 DON, untap this Character. The second effect is an activate main effect, by paying 2 DONs, untap this Character. So we could attack up to 3 times with Zoro, mainly going for the finisher when your opponents are at low health and don't have Blockers to stop Zoro attacks.

Prevention


Now, we have 2 Characters who can prevent your opponents from doing what they want. OP01 Kid have 2 effects, the first effect works on your opponent's turn by attaching a DON onto this card. If this Character is rested, your opponent cannot attack any other cards other than Kid. It does means if your opponents want to try and remove Kid via attacks, they will need to use plenty of DONs, or else we can just use counters to stop the attacks. The second effect is an activate main, you may rest this card to play one 3 cost or less Character from your hand. This will trigger Kid's first effect even if we can't attack on the turn Kid is played.

OP05 Corazon is a Blocker with an effect that works on your opponent's turn. If your rested Character would be KO'd, you may trash this Character instead. Of course, we want to use this against KO effects instead of attacks as we could just use Corazon's Blocker effect. Also if you got Corazon out along with Kid, then we don't need to worry about KO effects that can KO Kid when we have Corazon protecting him.

Wano Supports


3 of these cards are Wano supports, whilst 1 of them can easily be replaced with something else. EB01 Hiyori has an activate main effect. You may trash this Character to play one 5 cost or less Wano Character other than Hiyori from your hand. Then, draw 1 card. Of course, we want to target out 5 drops if possible, unless you desperately need the draw power to get the cards you want.

OP01 Momo also has an activate main effect just like her sister. By paying 1 DON and resting this Character, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Wano card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The downside to this search effect is that we need to rest Momo to work, and because it is a card that gives you the hand, mostly likely your opponents will attack this card to prevent you from searching the cards your need.

OP01 Yamato is optional, you can run her, you can replace her with something else. I am only running her for the 5 cost, and if you do draw or search Yamato early turns, then, she will put a threat against your opponents. The continuous effect is that Yamato can be treated as Oden, but this doesn't matter as we don't have cards that needs Oden Character on the field. The 2 keyword Yamato have are Double Attack and Banish, so we will get to trash 2 cards from your opponent's Life if Yamato hits, if not, then your opponents will be using some counters to stop the attacks. The only problem is drawing Yamato late game where she is useless which is why she is optional to run as we got 2 other 5 drops who can be better.

OP07 Otama is another searcher but instead of an activate main effect, she works on play. Look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 green Wano card other than Otama and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. There shouldn't be any problem with the Wano search as this is a mono green build, we just can't search for Otama like Momo who can search for himself. I guess you could use Otama to search for Momo, then use Momo to search for any Wano cards, but it really depends on what you have got on the field.

Events


For the Events, I am running a simple line up, You can be my Samurai and Because of Justice. Be my Samurai is a Wano card so we can easily search it out using the searchers as well as we can also discard this for Oden's effect to untap DONs. But this is only if you ended up with too many copies in hand. The main effect is you may rest 2 Characters to draw 2 cards. We do have plenty of low power cards we can choose, especially cards like Hiyori who can trash herself, so we only end up with 1 rested Character for this effect.

Because of Justice is a 0 cost Event Counter. The counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader or Characters gains 3k power this battle. You may need this as we have a lot of non counter cards we can choose to discard for this cost. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. Another rest effect but potentially we could be able to slow your opponent's attacks.


Deck List




OP07 Oden



Explanation

This deck focus more on untapping DONs so you could play more Characters and attach DONs to those Characters. You also can discard any Wano cards you won't be needing to untap 2 DONs. Well, I guess this is what this deck mainly does, the rest of the build is pretty standard, but I would get Kid on the field as soon as possible, so my Leader will be protected and it forces your opponents to use up resources for Kid rather than your other Characters. I am also running OP06 Zoro to go for the final push as this deck doesn't really have a finisher, the resting won't be enough to stop your opponents, and we don't have removals to force your opponents to use more cards in hand.
